I can't rememebr playing an MMO prior to ESO where rotations existed...

I can't think of a single MMO, off hand, that doesn't use rotations as part of its DPS structure. (At least not counting, "non-MMOs" like Destiny or The Division.)

No need to explain passive skills, it's pretty blindingly obvious how they work! I actually had to look up repentance to get the exact details, not played my Templar for a while. I guess the source (http://elderscrollsonline.wiki.fextralife.com/Repentance) is now wrong, what you described above looked more like radiant aura!

@aeowulf that site is garbage, always has been, use this one, http://en.uesp.net/wiki/Special:EsoSkills, it is updated every patch. it is also one of, if not, the longest running website dedicated to elder scrolls that is still updated.

you still haven't answered my question, have you ever been kicked for using leeching strikes?

i've never been kicked from a group on my main, I have been kicked when group finder put my level 12 into a DLC, which I was not at all suprised at - this was before we even got to killing any mobs.

I knew Templar repentance was hammered, I didn't know by how much. DK was boosted (for my tank anyway) and sorc pretty much stayed the same. It left DK as clearly the best in combat stamina regen class, by quite a significant amount.

I think they should remove the 'no regen whlst blocking' limitation or implement it correctly so basically no regen from any source. This is a pretty fundamental aspect of the game and all classes should be treated equally. Having some that are able to restore resources via skills that work whilst blocking, and other classes that don't is not equal.

I knew about that site too, I didn't realise how much more up to date it was. Thanks for that.

Those are hardly good arguments against it. Recasting something too late always costs efficiency. Recasting something too early too. You are only making excuses that some ability on tanking designed class is slightly better for your tanking needs on not tanking designed class. Slightly being the important part. Because it literally matters only if you somehow feel need to recast leeching many seconds earlier.

Natures gift is though, that's a second tool Wardens get for resource management. NB get no second tool, unless you manage to damage a near death mob with an assassination ability. (i.e no use in boss fights) It's actually a really nice skill as it returns resources on the lowest pool. Would like to see the 'on death' condition removed from the nb passive and it replaced with a suitable cool down.

That requires that the group 1) knows that animation and 2) lets an nb tank stick around long enough to use it. :p I've never been "successfully" vote kicked on my nb tank, but it's come close.

You said earlier that you'd kick an nb tank or a templar tank, and that's the problem right there: pre-Morrowind we could use our sustain to take pressure off of the healer (so they could dps or buff instead of being a shards/orbs dispenser), so there was a reason to run a temp or nb tank despite our lackluster class tanking passives. Now, not so much.

(I have no position on whether repentance or leeching is worse, they both suck for tanks afaik and I've dropped siphoning/leeching from my dps entirely. Relentless focus has a nice stamina return.. which is useless on a tank because we spend so much time blocking.)

Never enough inventory space, even with storage coffers and a mule account

i most definitely said no such thing. I was the second stamplar dps that was kicked. the other stamplar dps initiated the vote to kick before i could be like, you repent i will just deal. they had on sets that had not regen, i have regen built into my stamplar, like 1.6k, which would have been enough for me that dungeon.

the only time i would vote to kick a tank before we actually get to a boss is if they had less then 20k health (a "fake tank"). that is it. i do not care what class you are.

if you have dropped siphoning/leeching, then you have simply lost dps and free heals. there is no way around that. what skill have you slotted instead? there is almost no other skill that is as good that you could replace either of them with on either magblade or stamblade and why would you not run it on a tankblade? good heals and stam back when blocking sounds good to me and Relentless focus "stam return" is only Minor Endurance, worthless to tank, as blocking, you know, stops regen.
