    Warden seems boring and weak

in general the warden seems balanced, compared to our current classes, but 1 skill is in my opinion a bit broken:

Betty Netch - Call a Betty Netch that restores Magicka over 22 seconds. Gain Major Sorcery, increasing Spell Damage by 20% over 24 seconds. This ability has no cost.

    - Blue Betty - Call a Betty Netch that restores Magicka over 25 seconds. Gain Major Sorcery, increasing Spell Damage by 20% over 27 seconds. When activated, removes 1 negative effect. This ability has no cost.
    - Bull Netch – Call a Bull Netch that restores Stamina over 25 seconds. Grants Major Brutality, increasing weapon damage by 20% over 27 seconds, and Major Sorcery, increasing Spell Damage by 20% over 27 seconds. This ability has no cost.

but yes i couldnt test it, so im not sure ... but no other class have a ability like this, also because this skill is free!

lets see how it will work ;)

This is because it is a 25 second duration consumable. It doesn't actually do anything else. It replaces a potion, and supplements (or works in concert with) whatever food or drink is active.

It seems like its a free purge, gives resources, allows necropotence, grants sorcery as well. Seems pretty strong, i'm not liking the free purge it gives though.

You do realize it's a single purge and is also a channeled skill that has a cast time, so it's not like people are going to sit and spam it while being attacked at the same time. Further, Elemental Drain is also FREE and offers both Major Breach and Magickasteal. Also, the Magicka/Stamina return is extremely small in comparison to the amount that Elemental Drain offers.

Just looks like another class where the Magicka variants will dramatically outclass the Stamina variants in PvE, continuing the tradition of Elder Staves Online.

I'm sick to death of OP invincibility shields and fairy wands.

I'll reserve judgement until I actually see the class, live.
Although I am not a fan of them getting Major Heroism and Minor Berserk (should IMO remain a buff unique to NB).
EDIT : To clarify - i know you can get Minor berserk from Combat Prayer - but that requires equipping resto staff, slotting CP blah blah. I mean specifically in-class buff.

Also I wonder how those portals will work. o.O Are we in for some trolly stuff in PvP? Will people be able to be teleported in and out of keeps?

It's boring/weak in some areas. Including animation as I'm not too wow'd by the Shelk animation I saw. They generally just appeared and did nothing and faded away.

It's nice that they get a stamina healing skill. Probably not enough to make a pure stamina healer but there's a lot of things that need done in that area.

I'm disappointed there isn't a single ice damage skill for Stamina or even Magicka. I'm confused to why Arctic Wind exists in such an unnecessary form. It looks like a waste of a skill tree slot and coulda been where they placed the one 'cool' ice nuke for both builds.
There's an entire tree purely dedicated to healing. There's no reason to add a heal to the Ice Tree.

Final verdict though will have to come after actually playing it.

Warden is too OP, this is P2W!
With the various regen capabilities I assume Warden is the reason regen CP passives are being removed which annoys me even more.

Without seeing them in action I can already tell they will outshine other tanks and healers.

This thing reads as a total dud, effects duplicated across several skills and the effects for that thunderbug aoe as just plain aweful(

How is aoe major breach and major fracture awful? That's an amazing tool for tanks

Whether it's useful or not is not the point I was making! The point is it looks garbage! Give any five year old a creation suite and they create something better than that! It looks absolutely ***! Its Lazy design plain and simple, I don't care if it one shots giants, if it looks that stupid I'm not bloody well using it!

Ok, I agree it looks bad, I thought you were talking about the actual skill stats though =p

I'd like to see it persist for 10 seconds like wall of elements and ice shards for rotation ease. I'd also like to see it have thunderbugs as the base skill, shalks for the magic version, and assassin beetles as the stamina version

Does anyone know if they are changing the frost staff again, because as it stands the frost skill line scales of health but the frost staff heavy attacks scale of max magic, are we getting a Mage that is stuck with sword and shield because there is no point taking offensive weapons :/

Remember the proposed cp nerf and the fact that most builds will now have to factor heavy attacks into their rotations to maintain their energy levels, which they should of had to from the start but never mind... but if those heavy attacks using weapons measured on stam and magic are doing pitiful damage it's going to make this cut n shut of a class a hard sell

Just read through this thread and it seems everyone has completely different opinions about certain things, half of which I disagree with lol.

I suggest we all reserve judgment until we at least play it on PTS.

What's to debate, going by their article it's a jack of all trades and master of none with a bunch of recycled effects.... :/

The passives are too split apart. Half the reason Sorcs are so strong is because they get almost all their passives oriented toward damage. The Warden has a bunch of passives that try to do everything, and thus the class will be really weak when it comes to specializing at on aspect of the game (damage, healing, or tanking).

This tends to fit with the class being a jack of all trades class.

So far I am liking this class. But then, I tended to prefer Hybrids to begin with. I'm just hoping they do something to make hybrids of all classes viable.

I'm thinking of doing my first warden as a werewolf, just for the giggles.
