I prefer to play as female cause I'm female in real life. Also female characters usually looks better in games than males, and have better armors/costumes.

But honestly? Females are more interesting. I play way too many games as dudes, a girl is a nice change of pace.

I have male and female characters, some costumes are good only on females, some on males... some both.

I used to play all male characters, but then I had an ex-gf like 10 years ago tell me, "If I have to stare at a butt for hours a day, it might as well be a girl's butt."

Couldn't really argue with that, and I've been playing all female characters ever since!

I have one female character, she's a banking alt so far.

I always make male characters in every game unless the art direction is "grotesque" for males versus "reasonably humanoid" for females.

I made a big post about this before but the TL;DR version is that I play both genders equally, it's more about the race for me. I'm already a boring human, I want novelty that extends beyond dangly parts.

If I'm Tanking, male. Bulkier, and a bias that bigger is better in Tanking.
If I'm an Assassin, female. Slender frame, and a bias that women are more flexible (acrobatic).
If I'm a Fighter, I don't care.

Depends on how i want to roleplay a character. I have a few males. And some females. Either way gotta make them with max chest and max posterior dimensions. #MakeTamrielBeautiful

I tend to play male characters about 2/3rds of the time. I'm not actually sure why it isn't more of a 50-50 ratio; some games I'll shy away from one or the other because (f.ex) the female characters are all wearing bikini armor when the males are dressed sensibly, but they don't all have that problem.

I'm male, I have 6 male characters and 2 female. My main is an Altmer guy but for some reason I can identify better with the old fat ugly vampire Argonian grandma who's my master crafter and fav out of the eight.

Must be because secretly I am a hideous blood sucking reptilian grandma too.

I tend to play males because to be honest - no programmer has ever done a good job with female walking or running animations in my opinion.

The only game I make female characters, besides those with gender locks (Tera, BDO), is D3. I make females for seasons, then take all of their stuff and give it to my males I've had since day 1, kinda like lions.

I have nothing against female characters, but I tend to make them to look like me. It's interesting to go back through older games I've played and see how my looks have changed (hair, beard, weight if possible).

I'm male. I have 5 characters:
Male khajiit nightblade - magicka sap tank
Female khajiit dragonknight - magicka dps
Male khajiit sorceror - Stamina dps
Female khajiit templar - healer

And a placeholder for a male khajiit warden that will be a stamina tank.

Both. Usually female though, I just generally find pixels collected together in a female form nicer to look at!

Just like real life, it's nice to be around something that you find attractive.

Yeah, they're pixels for sure ... but if you've been playing the game for three years like me, these little differences are a small contribution to a more enjoyable game.

I'm female, but I play mostly males. I do have a couple of females though. I just prefer males generally for characters.

I'm a guy. But my main is a female sorc. It just feels cooler having a bad ass sorceress! She is one strong independent Altmer woman lol

I'm a female but I play male characters. I only play Khajiit (exception for one Argonian) and I prefer them males. I just find them prettier.

I play both, choosing gender based on what I feel is the best fit for the character I envision. Right now I have 7 males and 5 females (including future wardens)
