Because of the DB changes we have 2h users that are charging up their dizzying swings during their crit rush making it hard to see or respond to.
Also some skills don't cancel as well as they used to, which makes it feel clunky.

Pre-DB PVP was better in most ways, including animations. Revert everything!

It's probably too late to go back as with any iterative development program, someone's likely built something on top of the new priority code that will not work in the old. I'd not hold my breath on ZoS backing out this mistake.
