VMA stage 2

Those damn spinning blades of death that can be switched off for 5 seconds yet make the bosses regain health if you do...what?
I'm a 7 light wearing sorc spending all my magic on heals and shields because of the blades which eventually run out mid fight and I'm dead.

Am I expected to remember the pattern like Rainman to pass this stage? :o

Use negate b4 boss goes into crybaby mode, you should not be running out of resources in VMA unless you are a pure dps build. If you are a pure dps build the bosses will drop quickly. Maybe for this fight use max health regen food and use harness as main shield for resources back? Heavy attack resto obviously if you are using that.
Edit: This is the worst stage in the arena when you start farming, ice stage and poison as well....also the second last boss on igneous plains who rips you if you do not have heals (you will be fine on that one compared to stam).

Unless negate stuns the blades then I don't see how it would help me. My problem is that I can't seem to attack the boss much as I'm forced to keep reapplying ward and heal every couple of seconds as those traps are hitting me constantly. I don't have much physical resistance as I'm more protected against fire as a vamp sorc.

Harness is not really a good idea since you mostly take physical damage. Best bet is to have high crit, keep crit surge up and go berserk on boss; you should get nice heals form attacking and keep your ward up.

    Dark Conversion should also help.

Ive been stuck on the final boss for 4 hours now and this stage gave me no problem at all; just move your char forward and backward to avoid the spinning blades once you see the pattern its real simple

Stage 2 is particularly resource intensive.

Being more careful about where you step will help, but even experienced players will still get hit by the blades.

I would highly recommend that anyone learning this round to run Elemental Drain on the bosses.

If you take too much damage, your Surge heals should get you back while your ward protects you--you don't need an active heal. (Alternatively, you could run a resto back bar and keep Regeneration up as a HoT, which will reduce the need to reapply ward. Either way, the idea is to not waste resources and DPS time over-healing or over-shielding.)

Slot Troll kings and a heal. 1.5K hp every 2 secs + your heal is a beast. You could also use a potion of lingering health to proc the troll king ability, while also getting healed for 700-800 hp per second.

As an emergency you can dodge roll through the blades but mostly you should just move around them.

Negate is to stop the boss shielding so you can kill him quicker. If you want effective help for this stage you should post your build and equipment as it's hard to know where to start if you don't provide any information about you CP or build. This stage is actually one of the easiest in the arena, the more dps you have the better, keep surge up, shield, don't run in the same direction as the blades. If you're new and have low DPS then shut down the blades as soon as the lever is green, as you get faster and have more dps you can just turn them off at the start of each round to reset the dot.
