I finally got around to starting the last class/type combo (Mag DK), as I have the other 7. Got it to level 33 and was planning on getting it as close to 50 as possible tonight. At least the cake should finish the job, otherwise I'd be bummed.

I completely forgot that this was a thing back in the day. I understand people can abuse a system with group buffs, but honestly, anyone can abuse any system in a game that gives the players perks. The answer to that is not to punish players, but to minimize the damage.

And its a bit weird, Monday is patch date but they could either stated 3rd as end date or do the maintenance on Tuesday the 4th.
Assuming they need a update to remove the event.
However I assume the anniversary involves npc too.

Why not keep things the way they are now and add the missing day back on the 28th? Then you will have touched on both the real-life holiday and the in-game holiday. As well as not chancing any glitches with the anniversary.

Khajiit would imagine the issue is if the double xp cake and the double xp pie would together give you a tremendous xp boost.
