It's ridiculous how long it takes to get Mages Guild to 10...

Do you ever look around? I had 10 halfway through the second alliance just questing. Also, this was with my main, before I knew about add ons.

I've done it with 5 chars on Xbox, here is my methodology:

1. Grind to lvl 50 WITHOUT picking ANY BOOK AT ALL.
2. Go to dulfy.net and search for all AD maps, all EP maps or all DC maps (DO NOT choose mixed maps, i.e. 3 form DC and 2 from AD).
3. Look at the 1st map, you will see red books (history from the map chosen) and blue books (general books, these are repeated in the three factions, that's why you don't combine factions when selecting maps to complete).
4. Make and imaginary route to find those books, follow your route picking all of them.
5. By the end of the map you WILL have a complete collection (Red books) and a few from other collections (Blue Books).
6. Rinse and repeat for the other 4 maps.
7. WIN

Commentary:
- By the end of the 5 map run, you'll have mages guild at 8 or so.
- You'll be missing just a few books to complete other collections.
- I STRONGLY RECOMMEND to pick the AD maps, those books are the easiest.
- I STRONGLY STRONGLY RECOMMEND to NOT pick EP, because you won't be able to pick the last red book from Eastmarch without doing a 1-2 hours quest line.
- The reason you want to skip every book while leveling is because when you are looking for the books, if you get to a location where is a book (according to dulfy) and you don't find it, the following will happen:

-You'll get mad, because you didn't find the book (when this happens multiple times, it gets worse each time). - You don't know if you already have the book (because you picked it up while questing or from another alliance -see (3)-) or you simply are in a slightly different location, and you need to look for it more carefully). Checking if you have it or not is time consuming, and frustrating.

From here, you just need to complete collections, (some books are in cyro), and if you aren't 10 yet, you go and clean THE RED BOOKS ONLY from another map/faction.

You'll be at 10 in a couple of hours.

Got to 10 last night, but I noticed on dulfy some of the locations they have are wrong. I'm guessing it's older or something, so I used http://teso.mmorpg-life.com/lorebooks-locations-map/# instead which is very good and accurate.

I leveled my nightblade from 1-10 in like 6 hours. It doesn't take long. Use lorebook add on for PC or look up a map for consoles.

@dardex you make some good points ill be sure to use next round about using only certain alliance.

As @gawdsb stated dulfy isnt perfect, i use it to highlight the mages guild only, and then use the teso app on play store for 99 cent that gives u exact location and description.
