The get the whole tree thing and that's fine but it's faster to wayshrine to another city to craft than to take the hike the the crafting in the tree.2 -

✭Yes .It would be nice, but I don't bother going to the first floor provisioning station I do my daily writs, then leave Elden Root for the pods which have both a chef and brewer, who have the recipes I need, and a cooking fire.
Then I leave and deposit my writs.

✭other.I bought Snugpod precisely to avoid climbing the Elden tree for Master Writs (now I have an enchanting and alchemy stations there). There is a cooking fire near the wayshrine anyway on the bottom floor of Elden Root.PC-EU0
