I'm sure it is supposed to be a food, not a drink, and the description is very very bugged considering it has the wrong description for the consumable not matching the recipe description.
It gives 2 max stat buffs and one recovery buff, so it should be a food. It could be that the recovery buff being listed first classified it as a drink when it shouldn't be or completely stolen info from another consumable is showing instead(likely considering it says it is a rotmeth drink).

the magicka counter part is drink, the icon is a jug and the description alludes to it being a drink. The recipe is wrong, not the item itself.

yep, noticed my mistake. all items are food on recipes.

Why worry, blasted thing never drops anyway

Maybe its RNG, but I acquired my set in 2 runs (3 jewel + belt/gloves impen) with just one item being traded to me when the was new. It used to drop like candy every time it was my random/pledge. But now that jesters is out, it seems to be quite rare? Never have I ever played a game where the developers *seemingly* rig drop rates on sets pending their use.

Lets all see how ice furnaces drop rate changes when warden drops...

That's not an accurate comparison. Bone Pirate is not just a recovery set. Its 5th piece gives more than two set bonuses worth of Max Stamina (damage) on top the equivalent of over two set bonuses of Stamina Recovery.
It's a 5th piece bonus, there are other sets that function the exact same way in magnitude; Necropotence, Mother's Sorrow, Spinner's, Drauger Hulk, Beekeeper's, Green Pact, Plague Doctor, and I could go on...
Even without being a 5th piece bonus, there are more potent bonuses; Willpower, Endurance, Grace of the Ancients, and Agility.
This is irrelevant, because there exists no Magicka set that gives bonuses with a drink active like Bone Pirate does.
Correct there isn't, why is the absence of that particular circumstance a bad thing?
I'm not "crying nerf" without reason. I am a Stamina player, but even my biased eyes can see this as a major imbalance. Bone Pirate provides far, far more raw stats than any other set when combined with this new drink.
I don't play stamina, and I think it's fair that they have this combination as an option.
As for "providing far, far more raw stats than any other set combination", not true. I am at; 62K max magic, 20K health, 2.1K magic recovery, 48% spell critical, and 2k spell damage, that does not include imperial physic in IC. I would say it would be broken for magic players to have a food set bonus when we already have good gear combos, plus this does not limit the possibilities of any future sets that might be added.

[Edit]: My only concern with this is that with the CP nerf to sustain coming with Morrowind, stamina player's will not be affected as much as magic players (with the bone pirate set and Dubious Camoran Throne), but ZoS has not finalized said decision, nor has this been tested. We will see.

How did you get a max that big? If you were a high elf 10%, inner light 7%, bound armaments 8%, undaunted 6%, necropotence 4k. Maybe masters staff, 1 piece monster shoulder and helm max mag. Grace of the ancients. That's only like 60k max magicka.
Just a Lizard Man that plays ESO with my twin brother khajiit_kyle

Ah, then the stone would put it at 62k. But you wouldn't have 2.1k recovery.

High elf, Inner Light (main bar), Bound Ægis, undaunted, shooting star (main bar), Necropotence x5, Maw of the Infernal x2, Grace aüf the Ancients x3, Willpower x2 (S&B main bar), and mage stone.

Also have a buddy running war horn so I can go 67K, 70K if I swap [Maw of the Infernal] for [Infernal Guardian] x2.

The other think that erks me about this discussion is the fact no one has mentioned about the percent bonus multipliers to resources, there isn't as many for stamina as there are for magicka.

All recipes are currently listing as "Food Recipe" regardless of whether or not they produce a food or drink item. This was driving me nuts when I go to guild vendors for 2 reasons: A) I just want to look at all recipes - not food or drink, but there is no way to filter like this; B) I never saw any "Drink Recipes" listed. I finally realized I was getting my preference, i.e. issue A, because of a bug that explained issue B.

I hope they do not fix it and that the only change they make is to remove "Drink Recipes" as a filter on the guild vendors.

But light armor doesn't get the massive boost to spell damage like medium armor does. Theoretically, they were supposed to balance out, but now...
