    @Thessalia

If you go to www.bestbuy.com there are a few laptops at or under $1,000 in their gaming laptop section that will play this game very well. I'd caveat PvP in my comment but from now until Saturday, a few are on sale

You can get a pretty good gaming laptop around this price. Look for something with quad core CPU and GTX 1060 graphics.

This one is probably the best deal currently, $879 after rebate for this MSI with i7-6700HQ and GTX 1060: https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834154446&cm_re=1060_gtx-_-34-154-446-_-Product

Here are a few others around $1k:

    https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=1TS-001A-00487

    http://www.microcenter.com/product/471814/Predator_17_G5-793-72AU_173_Gaming_Laptop_Computer_-_Black

Also, GTX 1050Ti and 1050 would be a big step down from 1060, but there are a few laptops with these graphics cards starting around $800.

So do you guys know any laptops that can run this game well?
    Two pieces of advice:
    1) Ditch the idea of a laptop. They're overpriced for what you get and no GPU or CPU touches the PC versions.

    2) Build your own. Seriously. BUILD. YOUR. OWN. With the $1000, you can easily build a rig that'll handle this game and then some. Even with the NVidia 1060, which is about $400, you'll be well within budget of $1000.

    Get busy.

Oh, and don't freak out that you can't do it. Watch YT videos. It's much easier today than it used to be. Putting together a Lego set is more complicated.

    Not kidding!

People might have their reasons why they want laptop eg mobility or space or so. Sure desktop can outperform and is more easily upgradeable but still it shouldn't be shoved to people looking for laptop as seen in many similar threads.

Current day laptops can easily run ESO as the requirements are not that high, sure it might not run BF1 on ultra or other new games but people ask for laptop that can run ESO.

$879 for the MSI laptop with GTX 1060 and quad core CPU. This is a pretty damn good deal and solid hardware for running nearly any game at 1080p 60fps, a little faster than desktop GTX 970.

I have a mid range laptop that can handle most MMO's on medium settings but I do most of my gaming on Xbox. I like being able to grab the laptop and chill on the couch or whatever so a desktop isn't for me. I also need to have something portable for work. I've thought about building a desktop but it's not worth the extra cash to me right now for better graphics.
I don't always drink Skooma, but when I do I go to the Southwall Corner Club. May you walk on warm sands my friends.

It has been broken for 6 months and I can't wait anymore so I'm going to buy a new laptop. I'm not looking for a gaming laptop because it's out of my league.
So I'm basically looking for a regular laptop and not those expensive ones that you see everywhere.
So do you guys know any laptops that can run this game well?

I recommend MacBook / MacBook Pro ,or you should just buy an iMac and upgrade it with 24 GB ram, I play all games on ultra graphical options

I would not recommend a macbook pro for this game, unless all you want to do is do quests, roleplay or farm mats. Any time you try to do anything remotely demanding like trials or pvp, the lack of performance will show. Think 1-9fps on rakkhat or 10fps in pvp at a keep.

Sure while i walk around being a carebear and do quests i get about 30fps on medium settings but the moment i step my foot in a trial, it is minimum settings @ 600x800 resolution to get that 10-15fps or you might as well not even bother.

Also not to mention that thigs like pts rarely work on macs, for example the current pts stil crashes upon load and has been -literally- unplayable for over 3months.
    Rip

Edit: and this is playing on the best macbook pro money could buy at the end of 2015

Me! My laptop is far superior to my PC for gaming.
That doesn't speak well of your PC... as an IT guy I believe in the concept of a "gaming laptop" about as much as I do Santa Claus.

Some people need something portable and don't have the money to get both that and a desktop. Others just don't have the space for a desktop.

My computer desk is so amazing that it would be a sin to not have a good desktop. Then again, I have run ESO on an SP3 while watching the baby. Run pretty poorly on low settings, but good enough to farm mats, collect hireling deliveries, manage sales, or run the covetous countess a few times.

It isn't hard to understand this if we spend more effort trying to understand other people rather than finding opportunities to belittle them.

as of a month ago, I do. My tower was showing its age, and it could play at medium but plenty of lag...I need to start doing some frequent travel between cincy & pittsburgh to see my elderly dad, and I figured, get a laptop that'll last me a while for both professional & gaming needs, so I got an up-to-date alienware laptop & ESO plays so much better...
