Campaign Changes
The Cyrodiil performance test with Champion Point removal and double AP gains has concluded. Thanks to everyone for your participation! We have implemented the following changes:
Keep capture values are back to 6000 AP per capture.
Resources, Towns and Districts are back to 1500 AP per capture.
Outposts now grant 3000 AP per capture instead of 6000 AP per capture.
Player kills and healing values have returned to their normal modifiers.
Quest AP rewards will remain doubled.

Hahahaha just lol. Excuse my language in the title but it was pretty much the only response I could think of when I saw this note. Spit my coffee all over my monitor when I saw it lol.

So people will do this with keeps now instead of with outposts? It's just as easy to capture a level 1 keep as it is to capture an outpost if you leave all the walls down. This will not change any of the farming, merely just shift it to keeps. I think the quest AP increase is a step in the right direction but across the board offense ticks have to be reduced and quest AP increased. The values should look more like the following to encourage people to spread out instead of just zerg flipping keeps for offense ticks or sitting there with walls down and farming.

Keep capture values are back to 1000 AP per capture instead of 6000 AP
Resources, Towns and Districts are back to 500 AP per capture instead of 1500 AP
Outposts now grant 750 AP per capture instead of 6000 AP per capture.
Player kills and healing values have returned to their normal modifiers.
Quest AP rewards will remain now give 7500 for keep capture quests, 2500 for resource capture quests, 2000 for kill capture quests and 2000 for scout quests.

    Not 100% true. You still have the bridge wars for unknown reasons.

    Not 100% true. You still have the bridge wars for unknown reasons.



    Problem solved, replace all the inner keeps with bridges and that will thin out all the lag problems for sure !!

    With these values it's barely an incentive to spread out. Better scrap the thing entirely and find another idea. If your point is to stop outpost flipping, there are many suggestions that have been made already, cooldowns for instance.

    they should have cool downs on keeps for giving out ap if its been flipped X amount of times in the last X time it gives 0ap Just don't tell the community of the cooldown time and PVP will have more defence battles.

    It's in the patch notes from today. The bottom announcement with the larger quest values was my opinion of what the AP spread should look like.

    They really should consider a cool down but overall I'm happy they didn't destroy capture ticks completely, I'm not sure people will flip Keeps like this I'm sure the AP Police will stop that + it would be a hell of ALOT harder to go AFK in keeps and not get spotted those NPCs have a huge detection range

    The Homestead AP levels are not excessive. Unless you are highly skilled, you can't take a resource alone. And it takes teamwork and effort to grab a defended keep.

    If AP values were nerfed back into the ground, people would have no reason to bother capturing objectives, especially after running out of their daily board quests. We'd see a lot more bridge and gate blockades, with enemy groups being farmed for their AP but only a few players actually gaining AP from it. We'd see a lot more people waiting around for outpost defense ticks, too.

    The Homestead values are on the right track for encouraging better gameplay. If last week was any indication, doubling the values again would be even better. But there's always going to be someone taking advantage of the mechanics. No need to punish everyone for that.

    Should have done it like this:
    Level 1 keep = 1000 ap
    Level 2 keep = 2000 ap
    Level 3 keep = 3000 ap
    Level 4 keep = 4000 ap
    Level 5 keep = 5000 ap
    Resources = 500 ap
    Outposts = 1000 ap
    Anybody got a group? LFG, anybody? Hello?

    What time (EST), platform and campaigns do you guys play on? The only real reference to outpost/keep trading I saw this week was chat messages about people not "doing it right" because so many players were on and defending objective instead of going for the "optimal" AP.

    What if ZOS made the entire faction's keep capture quest target the highest level outer enemy keep to send people to the same place away from the emp ring? They could make the reward something stupid high like 10k for returning the quest AND increase the defense tick for the defending faction so they have an incentive to leave the emp ring to defend the keep.

    Come on Sneaky first off you are one of the best AP farmers in the game amongst every faction. Second you run in the best ap farming guild on EP with no exception. Third do not spit coffee out it's up to 10.99 a pound where I live and so that is no beuno. It's finally a good thing to take keeps and not sit in BRK and farm pugs all day. If we really wanted to come in we would knock down two walls and not next to each other but we really don't want in. Most people will never get remotely close to your levels of ap per hour and more power to you and your mates for doing it. I pvp three times a week at the most.... I make great ap when I pvp but I am not going to get in the top 50 heck I am happy when I get in the top 100. It's all good and let's face it more people are grand overlord in your guild than anywhere else or anyone else... enjoy.

    Im not trying to make it so we make more AP than everyone else I simply want to see an incentive not to simply zerg the next keep around the emp ring. By really putting an incentive on quests you are more encouraging people to go out to the keeps they have quests for and do those quests where as if you put he incentive on keep ticks then it is encouraging clumping up more to zerg topple a keep for easy ap. I would love to see a version of the game where we rarely see multiple guilds stacking a keep and having minimal lag because of it.

    Lol, what? I was soloing resources at V1 and I'm not what I'd call "highly skilled." It's even easier now with 600 CP and no doors to the tower. Taking a resource is 100% pve and any player that can reasonably pull their weight in a vet dungeon can do it.

    That and people try to think AP = some measurable competitive pvp experience, which it is not.

    The faction scoreboard is the only competitive part of the game. Yes you can pvd, but you can also try to pvp those players, unlike AP which automatically rewards you for participating. And the best part is, a team has to "win that objective" so your efforts are rewarded towards an actual scoreboard.

    Ah. I was thinking of non-CP campaigns, where people don't have any CP to back them up and getting disoriented, silenced, snared, or stunned by anywhere between five and ten NPCs means something.

    Perhaps AP should be nerfed then. But only on Trueflame and like campaigns, if CP makes it as easy as you say.
