    Part sad and part glad I won't really be on for it. I can't imagine what playing will be like. The pops are ridiculous at odd hours of the day, even for week days... the weekend will be a treat. Good luck!

    If you don't feel like PvPing try to keep a group queue going at all times for any friends that DC/crash or log in late trying to get into cyro. I started 3 last night to help my friends get into cyro quicker and it really helped. When your group queue gets low invite anyone that has a higher solo queue.

    They need to do a double AP even regularly. CP people can keep their CP for all I care; I just like the action

    I'd love if they tried out a variety of AP distribution schemes to see how it affected player behavior (like upgraded keeps being worth more, a double Dtick week, more kill AP but faster diminishing returns on kills).

    AP is available from many sources, and it is hard to micro-tune AP gains in order to get the players on board with the original vision of PVP which was "a big war". In recent evolutions of the game, whatever gives the most AP, that is what a lot of people are going to do. If AP flows from flipping keeps, then keeps will be flipped constantly. If better AP comes from killing players, then zergs will charge at each other all day and ignore the keeps.

    What needs to happen, is that WINNING the campaign needs to be made to matter. A lot. If winning the campaign is the ostensible goal of PVP, then THAT is what needs to be incentivized.

    One idea,: ZOS could create some competitive new BOP gear sets that are ONLY available from campaign victory rewards. Not from AP, not from grinding, not from any other source whatsoever.

    Anything to spark interest; I am for. The ball zergs are kind of new in Azuras. I mean; there have been zergs all the time but noticed a lot tighter balling up and makes it harder to pick out a target but it is refreshing to see the action

    @apostate9 A long time ago, I made a lengthy post advising ZOS to rework end of campaign victory rewards to be the primary motivating factor driving PvP behavior, and recommending ways to do so. It fell on deaf ears, and here we are... New sets available through them is a clever idea. I wish they'd overhaul the crappy rewards we get now.

    Edit: more campaign objectives in distant towns offering extra effects on the campaign, and campaign-relevant objectives in the IC sewers are also on my little wish list. I believe those would mix things up as well.

    It might be time for another of those threads, Kena. Especially with battlegrounds incoming, the discussion to make open cyro pvp as "lucrative" as farming battlegrounds needs to happen (based on their comments made in the article Rinaldo posted earlier in the week.)

    I think that idea would be better for a 7 day campaign. That or have a daily score.

    I don't think so. As active as PVP has been this week, it used to be far more active before population caps were adjusted. And based on the leaderboards, if the game is popular as ZOS likes to suggest, only a small minority of players PVP regularly.

    In the crazy crashing days of pre-1.5 PVP, campaigns could crash without PVE being impacted at all.

    I think it's the other way around. I do believe ESO is very popular as an "online RPG" and when PVE is super busy, it causes a strain on the overall infrastructure of the game, including PVP.

    Early Saturday morning (NA), Trueflame was dead, yet I was experiencing all kinds of performance issues such as mounted sprint stuttering, slow ability response and slow break-frees -- things that had been more responsive while diving into large zergs during large-scale fights during the week.

    I played enough this week did my part to help the testing, but the server issues and the long que times, long loading screens I hope they got some good data that comes back to us in the form of improvements, I have not bought Morrowind yet and after seeing the server like it has been this week makes me hesitate a bit to buy it, guess I will see what happens.
