We are getting one of them for preordering Morrowind, if you didn't know.
I wish I could get 400 Crowns instead, though. Even if I wasn't against RNG Boxes as a whole, it isn't a theme that interests me the slightest, but I preordered Morrowind for the other stuff (mainly the Warden costume).

Hey, with 400 Crowns (the price of a crate) I can buy something else that actually interests me instead of having something completely useless sitting on my account forever :TJust so that everyone knows, my Altmer still can't have black hair. About a dozen of Altmer NPCs in the game have black hair. Just saying.

Durza gra-Maghul, Orc blacksmith: The thing was done perfectly, in the most efficient way.
Tegwen, Bosmer troublemaker: You can't prove I didn't do the thing.
Sings-Many-Songs, Argonian fisher: Sure, I'll do the thing... Eventually. Maybe.
Aerindel, Altmer stormcaller: After extensive research, I've come to the conclusion that doing the thing would be a waste of resources.
Liliel, Dunmer pyromancer: Aerindel said I shouldn't do the thing. Something about "resources".
Gyda Snowcaller, Nord cryomancer: I will find a way to do it that won't waste resources and make Aerindel proud of me.
Beatrice Leoriane, Breton vampire: I persuaded someone else into doing the thing. You are welcome, dear.
Sahima, Redguard performer: Doing the thing sounds awfully unpleasant and really not my problem.

PlaceboSoul✭✭✭I have no interest in crown crates, but that doesn't mean I want to belittle or insult those who do. Every player has a free choice as to whether to buy them or not, and choice is something I am interested in, whether in relation to how I play a game or how I spend my money.

This is how I feel about this game model as run by ZOS. You don't have true freedom of choice at all, you only have choice between what ZOS has selected for you to choose from. Now many would say, well yeah, that's how games all work, ZOS makes the content. But it isn't. I know many have already compared WoW in various ways, but I'll just use one example. In WoW, you have complete freedom of choice in what you want within the game. You want that mount? Go get it, or raise the gold in game to get it. Hunter character wants a unique pet? Run through the world, go find it, tame it, and it's yours. In ZOS's empire, you get to choose what you want from a real money store, and even then you don't have full access. It's a choice between what content they put up on the store, invariably the majority of which is chosen by them to pull the post profit. They also incite impulse buys, by having limited time offers on content, buy it now or never see it again.
Anyway, that was longer-winded than I meant it to be, but I hope you see my point. I also am a huge advocate for freedom of choice, especially since there is less of it to be had in society every year. But I want full freedom of choice, in the world, in my country, and definitely within the confines of any game I play, that I purchased.
So, let's hear it for our freedoms, we have to hold on to them with iron grips, lest they all be stolen away from us.
