I think I see some rationale behind all the motifs/transmog restrictions. If changing the style of your armor was just as easy as converting your armors in the equipment screen, each costume, style would feel less unique. Not to mention how most ppl will conform to the coolest looking motifs, and thus undermining the values of some of the rare costumes. But it's just my opinion. I wouldn't mind transmog system being added to ESO.
They should let us dye weapons and preview locked dyes at least.
Don't we have this already?
Mimic stones anyone?

This, also as I understand you can not use the imperial style change on armor from sets who makes its totally pointlessAzraelKrieg wrote: »

And the last is pretty LOL as any imperial or anybody with the style can craft in imperial style anyway.AzraelKrieg wrote: »This, also as I understand you can not use the imperial style change on armor from sets who makes its totally pointlessAzraelKrieg wrote: »
You can't use it on non-crafted sets. Crafted sets can be made into Imperial with that style change
no
the only thing craft sets have that drops do not get - the only unique for crafted at all - is style control.
dont kill off crafted sets in favor od all drop sets all the time, pls.

That's a dumb reason to limit players' aesthetic choices. Aesthetics and gameplay functionality should be absolutely separate as frequently as possible.no

If the only purpose of crafting is style control, then crafting needs to have more gameplay functions that make it more useful.
The game shouldn't punish players who want to customize the appearance of their characters with weaker stats, nor should it punish players who want to use the strongest sets by dramatically limiting their customization. It is not too much to ask for both.

Yet no one started or commented to do both... just the one favoring drop sets. This is an entirrly one sided proposal - help those using drop sets. Nothing fpr crafted who can already get strong style control.
And the game isnt punishing anyone. It gives you options. Not being able to have everything in one package its not punishment its choosing.
Wheres the choice if one option get alk?
Of course why not get everything? More fun if you dont lose style control by choosing tp use drop sets. More freedom, right?
Also why limit greatswords to melee ramge? Why lose sniping to use greatsword?
