Item Conversion (transmogrification)

So, Morrowind was announced and in collector edition u have option like it was in imperial one. U can convert ur gear look into another style (Imperial & Morag Tong).
So, why we still dont have possibility to convert our gear style in any another? Why this conversion does not include drop or monster sets?

As to me, I tired of dying and costumes, Im tired trying make my gear look better when it is mix from different sets, some of them (like argonian) looks ugly (as to me).
If ZoS make this option for other styles there will be more options to use crafting achievments. This option open wide space for using style books, style mats, etc.

For example I see this option like this. Conversion exist for any style like a parlor and need learned style and 1 piece of style item to convert 1 piece of gear to another look. Easy and efficient, I think.

I think I see some rationale behind all the motifs/transmog restrictions. If changing the style of your armor was just as easy as converting your armors in the equipment screen, each costume, style would feel less unique. Not to mention how most ppl will conform to the coolest looking motifs, and thus undermining the values of some of the rare costumes. But it's just my opinion. I wouldn't mind transmog system being added to ESO.

They should let us dye weapons and preview locked dyes at least.

I dont care about illusive uniquiness when I just wanna to convert my drop set in some pretty new style, cause when I wear BSW, Viper, or other ugly droppable sets I WOULD NEVER HAVE POSSIBILITY TO WEAR ANY ANOTHER PRETTY LOOK STYLE GEAR EXCEPT ***ING COSTUME FROM DONATe SHOP!!!!!!

A lot of people in identical costumes and u prefer lock new abilities to customization talking about "uniquiness"?
Seems in 21 century "save my little uniquiness" is like an last argument

Not the same. What we're asking is the ability to change the style of existing pieces of gear. Viper drops in Argonian for example but someone may not like that style and might want it in Ebonheart Pact style.

This, also as I understand you can not use the imperial style change on armor from sets who makes its totally pointless

You can't use it on non-crafted sets. Crafted sets can be made into Imperial with that style change

And the last is pretty LOL as any imperial or anybody with the style can craft in imperial style anyway.
transmogrification like in wow has the benefit for ZoS in that it would make all the new cool styles far more relevant.
Costumes still has an place and most costumes are not armor.

This needs to be a perk for master crafters - add a new passive at level 50 of each equipment crafting skill that allows you to change the style of any item into any of the motifs you have learned. Requires a set amount of base material (like rubedo leather or ruby ash wood) as well as the style item you're converting to.

I just can't understand why people ask for transmog if they could ask for costume tabs. Transmog is soooo damn limited in comparision to a wardrobe system! Why don't you get that transmog is a bad system and should never be implemented instead of a costume tab system like in lotro.

ZoS killed this "uniquiness" after implementing imperial, morrovind, daggerfal style armor costumes,
Yes, @ZoS, I take my words back, dont kill "style control". Argonian style shield is so perfect, not like ur new sets only needed for 50 achievment points on crafter character

That's a dumb reason to limit players' aesthetic choices. Aesthetics and gameplay functionality should be absolutely separate as frequently as possible.

If the only purpose of crafting is style control, then crafting needs to have more gameplay functions that make it more useful.

The game shouldn't punish players who want to customize the appearance of their characters with weaker stats, nor should it punish players who want to use the strongest sets by dramatically limiting their customization. It is not too much to ask for both.

Yet no one started or commented to do both... just the one favoring drop sets. This is an entirrly one sided proposal - help those using drop sets. Nothing fpr crafted who can already get strong style control.

And the game isnt punishing anyone. It gives you options. Not being able to have everything in one package its not punishment its choosing.

Wheres the choice if one option get alk?

Of course why not get everything? More fun if you dont lose style control by choosing tp use drop sets. More freedom, right?

Also why limit greatswords to melee ramge? Why lose sniping to use greatsword?

Yeah, it has been asked for before, many many times. And likely will be asked for again, many more times until and unless they add some feature to change gear looks. And not like that useless "convert to imperial" thing that fails as soon as your character progresses from random items to sets...

...more like a perk for master crafters, where they can spend skill points to be able to reforge/resew/recarve any gear into any style they have learned on any crafting station, by spending resources (possibly including an extra rare special transformative resource which then could be sold in the crown store for those with more crowns then patience) and having a destruction chance just like temper improvements, which can be migrated by spending more resources...

Just because I posted the beating a dead horse gif doesn't mean I don't want this feature. I want it because I know nearly every current style but some of the gear I use looks god awful when worn together. The gif is really just there as a visual to my annoyance of the amount of these threads and how quickly they appear. Yes, ZOS know we want this feature. But don't take their silence as a denial of them looking at doing it.
