I can change costumes without any change in stats or set bonuses. Plus I like how well they dye.

My armour is a mix.

Mostly Mercenary Light (trench coat!), with Dunmer belt (for the logo) and Molag Kena helm/shoulders.

I use costumes when doing different content though, like Thieves for stealing, DB for assassination.

My khajiit stamblade runs mostly Mercenary medium, with breton medium shoulders and khajiit medium helm. Redguard great sword and khajiit bow.

My khajiit magdk wears all ancient elf light armor with an ancient elf Inferno/lightning/resto staff. Was going for the mage look there.

My future khajiit warden will be in all heavy armor. Right now i'm thinking mostly nord armor, with either the Malacath or Mercenary legs (they have a half-robe battlemage look to them), and possibly a helmet that looks like a wolf, lion, or bear head if I can find it. He'll use a mace and shield on one bar, Mace will probably be either soulshriven, Mercenary, bosmer, barbaric, or mazzatun - basically the wood club style or morning star style maces. Shield I'm undecided on. His off bar will be a frost staff, probably skinchanger style for the stag antlers.
Overall going for a heavy druid/shaman look for him.

Most of my characters use their racial style, but my Nord Dragonknight uses Pact armor and my Imperial Templar uses Order of the Hour.

On medium armor I wear Xyvkin, on light I prefer Yokudan, but atm I'm in love with this costume

I keep my Nord bare chested with the Colovian Filigreed Hood and Bathers Towel from the last festival. I really like the costume system but wouldn't mind if they added many more options. Especially just a simple set of Nord armor or Dwemer armor would be cool. It could almost be like an achievement. Once you learn the style for crafting or purchase in the store, you can use that light/medium/heavy armor as a costume and dye it. That'd be pretty nice...correct me if it's already a thing lol

The poll should have been multiple choices listing grouped options imo... too many people use combinations of new and old.

You could list all of the styles leading up to Orsinium, and then list them per DLC they came with.

(So all until daedric I think); and then Orisnium, IC, TG, DB, etc... The resulting & would give you a much better idea...

I'd love to use a style motif as order of the hour and Minotaur are my favourite but with drops sets vital for my builds I'm stuck with costumes

I use a healthy mix of different styles on one character.

My main is a mix of Akaviri, argonian and imperial.
My second is all hollowjack.
My third is order of the hour, dwemer, imperial.

I would have, but unfortunately there is a 10 option cap. There were ten original styles (three for each alliance plus imperial), so I would have run out of options fast!

I suppose I could just have easily gone with "COSTUMES are where it's at!". My characters start with costumes until I start leveling them and trying different looks. I usually find their style and dial it in by the time they get to lvl 50. I try to make their style (and colors) match their personality and skill sets, but occasionally the costume just gets too ingrained in the character. I have a female Orc stam sorc, and while I love her armor styles (Malacath/Ashlander), she just doesn't look right without her Dark Shaman costume and heroic personality.

I have 5 characters, they all have 4-5 star armor sets, but they all wear costumes .

My favorites for the two male Nords I have are the Nord Hero and Dova King costume, For my female characters Dark seducer and various dress costumes depending on the situation.

Akavari! The only real style choice there is! Honestly, who doesn't want to look like a Samurai (or a Ninja if Light Armor)? Lol
Trying to get this motif when it came out is part of what got me into PvP in the first place

My magplar healer wears a mixture of styles. Heavy (hidden) helm + 6x light.

Crafted set:
Hidden heavy helm (Breton)
Tunic - Nord - short sleeves, smaller crotch and hip flappers than most other styles.
Pants - Altmer cuz they are sleek/form fitting.
Epaulets - Altmer - no shoulder flappers.
Belt - Redguard - pretty unobtrusive/simple design.

Dropped set:
Gloves - Argonian cuz thats how it is and I can't change it - wish I could convert it to Imperial.
Boots - Argonain "

All carefully dyed and looks pretty good. That said, she still often wears one of her many costumes.

Switching to Daedric soon.

I will be using a Soul-Shriven staff though, and maybe Xivkyn staff as my backup.

I'm not fussed either way.

I tend to use the character's racial style up to level 50 then I just use whatever seems to fit their class best. Sometime common, sometime rare, sometime I mix and match. Sometimes a sexy costume.

My default style is a mix of some of the original racial styles in medium, but I love donning a costume now and again to mix it up. What I REALLY would like is a cosmetic system that lets me show off all my motifs known with the same freedom as I show off all my dyes owned. Then I could really up the fashion game!!

I have used a costume on my DK since I created her and I will keep using it, at least untill Zos adds Transmog/restyle to the game.
