There are different severity of actions, some of which affect other people significantly, and some of which do not.
This is why I've been pushing for a framework / a code of ethics and standards for action -> reaction rather than leave it all subjective with many a hypocrite calling for penalties to be imposed on people who did a heck of a lot less impactful activities than they themselves did historically.
There are 3 types of categories here:
Exploits/Cheats that directly affect other players: Cheat Engine, Empower Bug, Camo Hunter stacking
Exploits/Cheat that indirectly affect other players: Keep jumping via gap closer, infinite survey bug, this bug
Exploits/Cheats that do not affect anyone but the user: VMOL exploiting
The first one is completely inexcusable in PVP and should result in a ban. The second one, whilst serious, isn't game breaking enough to result in a ban unless it was obscenely abused and widely skewed the margin towards the exploiters favor wherein they otherwise would not have had a significant advantage. The 3rd one, while detrimental, should result in no more than a suspension as no other players suffered at the exploit/cheat's expensive.
Cheating is cheating. This is also an mmo. So cheats affect everyone no matter how indirectly. But even that shouldn't matter. Cheating is still cheating.KisoValley wrote: »So is trading at Bleakers actually deemed cheating and facing any account sanctions or should I just join in with the people doing it and get my SP/Achievements faster?
@ZOS_BrianWheeler
Trading outposts is legitimate. A clever way of using the game mechanics, same as being fed AP etc.
BB mine, even though people were legitimately roleplaying there, was considered an exploit.
It's not legitimate. No matter how much you say so. It's not.
Show me where Zos say it isn't and i'll admit I'm wrong.
If roleplayers want to flip a keep to re-enact a war, I'm sure Zos has no problem with that tbh.
And here is why this every exploit and cheap tactic ever in this game has been abused.
Where is the exploit/cheap tactic in roleplaying at a outpost? A good friend of mine, ex GO, Legendary Shey, roleplayed wars at Roebeck farm back in the day. If he can roleplay, so can I. Why are people crying about roleplaying at an outpost instead of a resource? Lol.

I tried to RP but apparently all the RP players are on the DC side.
*Edit
I was able to see a Dagger roleplay placing his *** on a dead Pact members face. You people do some weird RP here.
This group up in the tower here are doing some very intimate roleplay, it's very impressive to watch how close they RP as a group.

Lmao that was u fella, I'm sry for harassing you, was trying to rp the brave soldier who came in that scary outpost full of reds to 1vx them but they are too invincible and can just ress inside. That ruined my rp immersion so I left this boring place of unkillable ebonheart dragonborn mighty warriors

Apparently there were more 3.5E EP roleplayers then 5E AD and they pushed back to make 3.5E the popular RP again.
I've also just been killed by 5E players, the long walk back to continue this live report must begin.

Well there is some rage in zone chat now because the big bad AD ruined their farming.
*Edit
Plans in zonechat are to continue tonight. If any AD want a late night looks like there'll be some PvP action on EU Haderus all night.
"Roleplay'...
The only reward one should get for "Roleplaying flipping flags in cyrodiil" is the enjoyment of roleplaying itself. All of you "Flag flipping, AP farming Roleplayers" probably would not mind one bit if ZOS made it so in order to "Roleplay" in cyrodiil you would need to flag yourself as a "Roleplayers" thus turning off any and all AP gains... I mean really you guys and gals are there for the "Roleplay" experience... correct?
So I have a suggestion for @ZOS_BrianWheeler , @ZOS_RichLambert , @ZOS_GinaBruno and any other @Zos employee,
In order to combat the possible abuse of "Roleplaying" while in Cyrodiil... "Roleplayers" must now flag themselves as "Roleplayers" thus nullifying any and all AP gains made through said "Roleplaying". Any players caught "Roleplaying" for AP and not flagging themselves will have their AP removed and possible other sanctions levied against them.
Thank you,
Good day and Good night!!

No more stupid than the people in this thread going 'wink wink, we are roleplaying" to the tune of hundreds of thousands of AP per hour. They only say they are "Roleplaying" because they think it is some sort of loophole so that ZOS won't do anything to them. When in truth the only thing they are doing is outright exploiting (flipping a bugged resource over and over for awesome and easy AP) or abusing a poorly thought out and implemented design by ZOS (Outpost / Keep swapping for awesome and easy AP).
Perhaps I am mistaken though and there is some Oscar worthy "Roleplaying" going on in Cyrodiil?

Oh boy.. Probably 20 pages of posts is not clear enough for you that zos will not do anything to this people who are flipping flags 24/7 for a week straight after bb fix.
