The curse thing was meant as a PVE rotation buff, I don't think the devs considered the effect on nightblades.
You have to admit, for every other class we (sorcs) are going to reapply it every 3.5 seconds, just like we did since forever.
Nightblades are the only ones getting hit by the double explosions because you cloak off. Sorcs might catch it if they try to run or disengage. Templars might get hit with the haunt explosion if they're ressing someone cursed.
As for getting my class 'unbuffed'. Nearly all of us voted to keep velocious curse 'as-is'. We didn't exactly ask for it. Nor am I shedding any tears for the two-button- click instant stealth killers. You guys were god-mode last patch, it was so bad a PLAYER made an addon to put a stop to it. Not saying that addon was all right, but there was a serious ganking problem.
If you get ganked by NBs you need to reevaluate your builds and L2P instead of asking for buffs.
No. Maybe this patch you need to re-evaluate YOURS. 16K health and all divines won't cut it if one curse is killing you guys after 12 seconds and two explosions.
Last patch with the triple crit proc sets there was nothing to nothing you could do and you know it. Now? That's a bit less effective.

The curse change isn't a problem to nbs, why? You have also 8,5 seconds to move and counter the 2nd explosion of curse, so i don't understand what is the problem..
NBs have other problems, but curse isn't one of them.
Are you serious? You never played a nb yes? I dont die of the second proc. I die of the zerg looking for my ass after i killed one if their zergpals. As a nb you go in and out of the fight all the time because if u stay in the fight in medium armour u are dead because we dont have easymode shields to protect our asses. The curse change *** that up.

Were they having that much trouble before? Generally they have been performing quite well in PVP at least, for a long time.
1. Destro staff is a buff for every magicka class. You forget there are three others including... mag nightblades, who actually needed the help.
2. Lol pets in open PVP.
3. Storm Atro sucked and you know it did. Most people ignored it completely before, today you can still CC it, and it still doesn't move. Yesterday I saw some people try it out, but it still didn't KILL anyone like meteor or DBoS does.
4. DK also got a nice heal to compensate them for taking measly 1.5K-2K force pulse beam attacks. FP doesn't kill anyone. Frags does, and that's still reflected.
Curse got a buff we didn't really ask for or want, and destro staff was behind other weapons, except for the one ridiculous ultimate. Serious, take a look at the spell damage it gives over dual wield.

These buffs might not affect you personally, but they do affect the class, which has been one of the strongest magicka classes for solo and small group PVP for a relatively long time.
Just started playing ESO again recently, so perhaps I missed this, but don't recall a period of the game when storm atronach seemed weak. Thought it has always been something enemy players need to either get out of range, try to CC or kill. Previously you could counter it by keeping it CC'd almost permanently, but they have been granted CC immunity, so the CC period is rather short.
You might not use pets in open PVP, but quite a few players do, and they have been granted 200% health, 200% spell resist and 200% physical resist. This includes the Storm Atronach pet.
Also, note you are miscalculating Force Pulse - it is 1.5k-2k x 3, so total damage from each hit is 4.5k - 6k. Combined with the stronger double curse which cannot be blocked anymore, force pulse, mines and mages fury / explosions, you can keep up constant pressure on mag DK which was previously kind of a counter class to ranged mag sorc.
In my case I'm not asking for nerf or anything of the sort. Was merely agreeing with the previous comment in that I was surprised to learn of significant buffs for a class which seemed to be already performing quite well relative to other classes for a long time.
Pets still go completely brain dead stupid whenever two dozen or more people are around. I tried it out, and my clanfear sat there running into a Keep wall while I was inside, and it loves to get stuck. Too bad they didn't add 200% AI improvements.
