Us good pvpers are dying out. Many going to other games due to the current state ESO is in. Scrubs run around in zeros with 30k+ health spamming bol. The worst part is as a good player and member of a well known guild these zergs know to kill 4 of us they have to drop all 10 destroy ults and 5 healing ults making it virtually impossible to do anything. We desperately need arenas and battleground. We need some form of ranked play in the game to keep PvP interesting. If the road ahead comes out and battlegrounds and arenas aren't listed...God help PvP in this game as awhole.

    I keep hearing battleground but how the hell would this work? No way you could use ur own build and own team or people are just going to build tanks and heal tanks and go in a lol at anyone that tries to kill them.

    It's don't think battlegrounds is the answer it would just be more of the same issues but no way to take them out.

    We really can't have this in game at all it's just not made for it. You want small scale 2v2 3v3 stuff play smite.

    Frankly, it would help if Zeni just added conditions onto some abilities like, "does not do (insert affect here) in pvp" or "does 10% less damage in pvp". I'm certainly no expert, but is there really no way to make it so that abilities or armors have different affects and stats while in cyrodiil than they do in pve?

    We already have a similar system in place, aka character scaling, so it can't be that hard, right? (That is a serious question, so correct me if I'm wrong)

    What kills me is the random 5 minute load times. I'm with EP and a few times we've been siegeing a base and all of a sudden I die, go to spawn at another base and it takes literally 3-5 mins to load, rest of my team, same thing and by the time I'm done loading we've effectively failed the siege. I mean the point of having to spawn 5 minutes away from the base that you're siegeing is to stop zerging, adding 5 min load times on top of that is just overkill.

    I agree though that healers are a bit OP, earlier today it took 7-12 of us beating on this one guy relentlessly and we couldn't kill him, it was dumb.
    Arenas and battlegrounds would not help this issue at all though, same issues smaller area, cept you'd have guilds doing pre-made groups that dominate everything. Nother thing is population control, there isn't any. So many times we're just having our arses handed to us by AD and DC cuz they just happen to have way more people than us. Maybe only allow so many people on depending on how many are on in the other factions, like a balance system. Also to add to that, autoboot afkers after like 5-10 min.

    I've never seen zergs of low levels doing that. What I HAVE seen though are groups (who I assume are Guilds) of mostly all level capped 561CP players doing this. They're using the Destro Ults and a couple Healers to farm Alliance Points by baiting you and your buddies in and then steamrolling when all their Ults are up. For me usually it's a Blue Guild.

    If it was that simple why have they not done this in pvp? I hate to say this but battlegrounds will never come ever. I would love to be proven wrong but they can't balance it and if they do come up with a completely different system for small scale pvp it will be broke af

    lol ZOS cant even manage Cyrodiil and you expect them to maintain a list of banned gear and abilities.

    No battle grounds, they need to fix pvp as it is currently. Moreover, if you want small scale bouts ZOS should allow 4 man parties to flag each other for a duel scenario.

Several armor sets got hit as well with nerfs . Just have to wait and see what exactly what they built for battlefields . If it's a mini capture the flag then it won't be any better then what Cyrodiil offers exception being equal sized fights .

    Battlegrounds will be horrible in this game. Trust me. I can see it now, the same groups ap farming cyrodiil ap farming battlegrounds. Last thing I want is a dead cyrodiil and constantly coming up against these groups in bgs.

    PvP has seen good days in this game, but those happy days seem to have gone away. Why can't ZOS fix their PvP. Fair ryles, better oergormance, more innovation is what is needed. At this point ZOS is the elephant in the room and needs to be addressed.

    This is exactly my point it won't be fair people complain about unkillable templars imagine going in with a group and facing 4 of them and they can't be killed. Or 4+ NB that jump out of stealth all at the same time and pick off ur group 1 by 1 battlegrounds in this game will not work and I'm still waiting for someone to link me something where ZoS dev said it's coming this year bc as far as I know this is all player rumor with nothing backing it up

    Why would battle grounds solve the problem you described, which is a problem for sure. Lets see this next patch and hope that zos can react to op or exploited playstyle. Cant blame people for wanting to win and finding what works. HA, black rose, troplar with skoria and lead a group into a choke point and done. Its lame but again, cyrodil needs changes to skills, sets and cyrodill needs added content.

    Battlegrounds will fail. They won't help with anything, except for creating more frustration due to stupid mechanics/sets/abilities.

    The fix to PvP is easy ban the infamous anti-bot program from Cyrodiil (did we ever need that in PvP?) which will return the lag to nearly nonexistent as it was in the first few months. Increase the player cap the problem is not too many people we had far more in the pass and smaller zergs way cause you could spread out more.

    If the main Zerg (every Alliance has at least two, yes even yours) is hitting BRK and you need to defend Chalman you're losing one to a sheer numbers game. The Zerg becomes the most logical conclusion when you only need to fight on one front.

    As long as an Alliance only has to really worry about fighting one main front with very few attacks on back keeps the Zerg play style will always win out.

    Edited; I found an old video of ESO live where they mention it's was in the planning but gave no date of release just they are working on it so it's a maybe but no real confirmation unless you have another video where they state it's done and coming in 2017 bc I been searching for a while now and just found a tease on the subject with no real information. Maybe you know something I don't but eh

    Negate is already like this. It stuns in PvE and not PvP

    Battlegrounds would be nice. Yes some people would just go in with stacked health tanks and just troll. But if it's restrictions on health and all that then I mean it becomes silly, then if you cap health you should cap stam and magicka and CRIT and weapon damage and spell.damage and ultimate gen and set bonuses and costume coolness(known to add 5%dps)..........

    And while battlegrounds would be nice and cool. I really would like to see seige PvP be fixed more features and the like. It's just I get it's hard to add content to cyrodil itself. As I mean it's the only map, maybe a smaller version of cyrodil with just the ring and fargyl arrius and glade as the new keeps bases. Aleswel and ash the forts or something such.

    That and a new PvP are like imperial city. Or make imperial city more active again. Make it matter to the campaign or something.

    As someone else once posted, battlegrounds are only going to highlight even more the imbalances in this game.

    Seriously I can't wait for the thousands of new nerf threads when people find a meta/build/team composition that's wrecking everyone else. ESO also doesn't have regular balance cycles meaning that the FotM builds will end up being quarterly or longer frustrating everyone who has to play against them.

    Passives in the alliance war skill line only apply in certain circumstances eg in cyrodiil or near keep, so why can't those conditions be applied to skills (and proc sets for that matter) to make them more balanced on pvp without impact on pve guys.

    I think the reason is ZOS from the begining of the game wanted PvE and PvP to be very close knit obviously since launch there have been some changes to this.
    I believe they have said before they don't want to have a system where you use a skill in PvE and learn how it works but when you go into PvP it works entirely differently.

    Currently all the changes in power are handled via the Battle Spirit buff, meaning you need only look in one place to see all the alternative effects now applied.

    I really like PvP, but unless I'm on at peak times I struggle to find a decent group to play with. I think the reason PvP is declining is because it is not very beginner friendly, just getting ganked by a nightblade in 2 hits gives bad first impressions so people stay in PvE.

    I don't think battlegrounds will help, would be more interesting for Zos to only have 1 campaign and increase the population cap massively.... but I can see the problems that would cause.

    There is no actual pvp except for Guild-PVP-Tournaments. Cyrodil is more of a 'Strategy-Conquest'.

    Keep watching if you want to here the exact quote , I am just say it's there believe me or not , it's ok lol . Indirect quote was battlefields coming next year but they will not discuss the details until this year sometime . I'm guessing we will here more when Matt writes his Road Ahead article .

So people grab them and farm the new players in towers to grind AP. ZOS doesn't even understand how their own game works. Or how it is being played by the players.

So people grab them and farm the new players in towers to grind AP. ZOS doesn't even understand how their own game works. Or how it is being played by the players.

    PVP has always been a giant AP farm . That's how most PvP'ers make their money because the money in Cyrodiil stinks for missions . Selling schematics , 5 piece sets and Jewelry are the only way full time PvP'ers can sustain the cost of pots , enchants and gear .

    I would venture to say the actual campaign score comes in second place of priorities for a lot of hardcore PVP players unless they own a trade guild or have people donate stuff for free , like the streamers get .
