Getting weaker when you level up, how do you feel?

My NB just gets weaker as he levels and my brother who has a stamplar that is about CP 100 and gets destroyed by a newly made level 3 CP 300 Magsorc. I was adamant before One Tamriel and still am now, scaling is(has been) ruined for a while, sadly. I wish they would've done the zones like GW2.

this feels wrong and breaking whole idea of leveling, when you lvl up to become stronger.

recently I leveled up stam sorc for low lvl pvp, and I was regretting of gaining levels, because on lvl 20 you were beast machine, and later you just shadow of your previous power.

ps – then it was so much fun to duel on low lvl toon cp 500+ guys (stormproofs, flawless, AvA ranks 20+, former emperors...) and basically melting them in 6-20 seconds After, when i finished this char up to lvl 50+, I can see, that I wouldn't be able to bring same stats as it were on low lvl.

bring me ability to freeze exp gaining!

I played my wood elf night blade up to level 50 660cp wearing the lv 1 rags and some rings neck and hat and belt went into the world boss in gold cost had the boss run over me did not die, put on 160 light armar and he ranmover me and death instantly

CP400 Stamblade bosmer (DW/Bow spec):
Armor sets used: 5pc Bahrah's Curse, 5pc Briarheart, 2pc Selene's

Level 39 Stamblade Khajit (DW/Bow spec) same CP point allocation:
Armor sets used: 5pc Vampire's Kiss, 4pc Kvatch, 3pc Night Terror


My max level stamblade kills stuff WAY faster. Sustain is MUCH better on him and he has access to more abilities. He is definitely more powerful than my level 39.

It's not been fun leveling up since one tamerial. It's just sad when you find gear you been looking for..but on the wrong character.

I feel orange.

I have 3 level 50 toons. All wear medium armor. 2 Stamplars and a NB. Both Templars (Nords) use 2H on front bar. First character is snb back bar. Second Temp uses bow on the back bar. NB is dw/bow. All 3 wear 5 pieces Hundings, second Temp and NB wear Night mother's embrace, other Temp wears 5 pieces of Sword-Singers. All gear is CP 160 and at least purple, weapons are gold and a few pieces of armor as well. My NB (Bosmer) is the strongest for DPS/survival of the three.

I have also been leveling a Redguard DK. She's just about unkillable. She is in Whitestrakes and NMG. At level 26 I soloed the frost atronach in the Rift. It took 2 years, maybe longer, I might still be fighting him, IDK. None of my Champions could do it. It was actually the first WB I have soloed since 1T.

I have 14 character slots and am CP690. I use 3 of those slots to level and discard alts. Every single one of my many, many alts has without fail, in every case been progressively stronger from 1-50 in both PVE and in the no-CP Cyrodiil campaigns.

But then, I'm not looking for fault.

Those of you saying you're no better at higher levels with more and better skills are either lying or just doing something terribly wrong.

You wouldn't be those people I see sometimes in random dungeons doing nothing but light and heavy attacks, never using a skill or an ultimate even when your life does depend on it, would you?

I found that the stat penalty for levelling didn't hurt so much once I had a bucket of CP. On my first character though? Ouch.

With no CP and only junk food, that first run though really hurt. I basically had to run tank sets to stay alive back then.

The flip side is bringing a CP heavy level 20 toon with 45k+ magika into a dual. Level scaling is weird.

When I jump from 50 to max cp, with good gear do get stronger. My stats go down but with proper gear I do more damage.

But that doesn’t change the that all the characters I have leveled 7-8? Feel like they hit a wall somewhere between 40-50. With properly leveled gear I go from not worrying about resources or really killing things, to suddenly feeling like I am out of resources and hit like a wet noodle. So even if I was hitting harder with more skills,to suddenly loose the endless resources does make me feel weaker.

And honestly if you are going to cry confirmation bias, come in with some stats, so dps parses. Something. You come in with the same thing all those you are screaming confirmation bias about. Well I did it and here is how it felt to me. That proves or disproves nothing. Since it is just a feeling. You know, what everyone is talking about here. How it feels to them. Of course I did the same thing, but I’m not the one trying to prove some sort of confirmation bias.

I felt I was getting weaker from cp10+ but since I hit cp160 I have never felt stronger. I had been acquiring specific cp160 gear through traders as I leveled up.

Definitely getting stronger... I literally burn 3 mobs down before they barely scratch me ... if I do get in a tough spot I recover strong

Dude it's all about better skills up the skill trees... unlocking Rearming Trap, Ice Comet, Flawless Dawnbreaker, Undaunted Mettle Rank 2, etc. When you have your build fully done up, if you somehow manage to do it before level 50, you could possibly hit a wall...maybe.

I have done it umpteen times in Cyrodiil <50 campaign and just in PVE. You go right ahead with your feelings and I'll go with mine...but yours are wrong

The only way you can get weaker is if you don't upgrade your gear as you level up.

young adventurers are boosted by their willpower (hint). when you level up, you become stronger and all better things.
you just need a gear of your level.

My main is a dunmer dual-wielding stamsorc running purple medium nmg/hundings gear w/ agility accessories. She's a bloody glass cannon, whereas my lower level same-build same-armor (but blue) (with lesser accessories) is a little monster and tears everything apart, AND has higher health to boot.

My main gets around 8k dps, and I'm not sure what to do to fix it. She's fine for open world stuff, but group content is just letting the group down. The lower level content on the alt just melts, even group content.

I dunno, maybe I just suck.

It actually feels great honestly. Feels like we need to wok on our build. Least I do on mine, (Cyrodiil) with me 0 damage. Whilst I was wearing heavy armor and certain DC yesterday. Highest damage from DC was Assassins Will, 10,500 damage from that... It feels really great indeed
