Im ps4 na, 150 download 20 upload, most of the console lag in cyrodil is due to the ps4 not being able to handle it. I upgraded to a ps4 pro and now the only time I lag is in 50v50 zergs battles but it is still playable.

I was gone a while. So far I have just had a couple of times where some of us have dropped and others could move around but NPCs like guards or daedra in the IC are frozen but I seem to have seen that a bit while alone grinding in PvE.

There has been nothing like what I used to see on a nightly basis pushing back and forth where everyone blamed Havoc.

For me it varies between all the answers. Sometimes I have little to no lag and others I'm hitting load screens every time I try to Crit Rush.

PvP is generally unplayable

I don't even play(the way is supost to be played) anymore. Sometimes me and my friend join Haderus just to test some builds and our teamplay, against 3 or 4 players maximum. Even with low population and very small scale fight, it's unplayable, the ping stay almost the same, but the screen freezes sometimes when we start to use skills, and 3 seconds later, we're dead.

PC NA. PC setut more than suficient. Optic fiber and my ping is about 200, but it never prevented me from playing and have a good experience in any game with servers on NA, except for ESO.

Azura EU is playable most of the time. Even when there is some luck it is no more than 200 and not for long periods of time. TF EU on the other hand made me quit the game for 2 months.

1.Scourge PS4 EU. (Campaign that I will always call home and I love everyone there. Even though some not)

2. 11mbps download. 2.58Mbps upload. (Ping to eso EU server. 188-280 ms)(Love EU server from USA)

3. Yes I would. No offense ZOS. Like you to. However even with same thing. On good days. I don't lag or freeze. In Scourge PS4 EU. However sadly. Other campaigns are way unplayable for me. Especially large fights or 3 way battle. Probably because of my ping.

I also want to note. All my AD group members in Scourge PS4 EU. Complain about the lag and disconnects. Even though they are mostly EU based. Or more around EU. Some from Paris, Germany and England. Tis why I love EU server.

I would like to change my vote to too much or almost unplayable.

It used to be fine but today when I grinded some levels on my DK I started seeing delays from when I pressed a button to the game reacting to it that would last up to 1 second making it almost unplayable. And I have infinite loading screens whenever I die.


At least I don't have frame drops, that is something at least.

I usually manage to not lag too much, but I make compromises:
- I have to turn off most my addons
- pause my antivirus protection
- put everything on minimum quality
- close all browser tabs

I play on PS4 (original console) EU and I have no idea what my connection stats are... it's an ADSL2+ connection and it's crap. (Pointless doing speed test on this laptop, and while my sons are still in bed.) Anytime someone's downloading or uploading I usually get DC'd (even in PVE). And anywhere I go in Tamriel, it's Elder Teleports Online. I've yet to see someone move without teleporting. (I'm sure I never got this much lag on the PS4 NA server.)
But I am hoping that upgrading to a PS4 Pro and/or changing ISP will improve gameplay.

I used to like playing in Thornblade, but... pretty much any time there's more than 20 people in the area I get disconnected.
The last time was only a week or two ago; I went in just to get a couple thousand AP to unlock War Horn. Got that after a short time defending Faregyl, thought "Wow, I haven't been disconnected yet!", went up to Bleakers, and... yep, DC. Could not load back into that character until the next day (though to be fair I stopped trying after a couple of attempts).

These days I usually play in Blackwater Blade. Some lag, but not all that much, few to no disconnects (and no Monster sets!).

I typically have 2-3 times the ping in ESO as I do in other games.

This is consistent across connections, oddly. If I'm on a good connection with 50 ms on most games, I'll float at 100-150 in ESO. If I'm on a bad connection (say 100-150 on other games), I'll be at 300-600 in ESO.

Xbone NA Server, I am in Australia so I miss the US Peak times which may play a part.

But we do have the worst internet speeds in the world here.

1) I'm on PS4 Na.
2) results of speedtest: 11ms ping, 172.82 mb down/12.2 up (if I use a server in Houston my ping jumps to 56ms while Down/Up stays roughly the same). I believe I'm being bottlenecked by speedtest on the DL speed as I've seen sustained DL speeds of 22.5MB per second during movie/game downloads from some sites.
3. OF COURSE I DO, a better question would be "do you have any faith left they can ever fix the lag?" to which the answer would be: "No, no I do not."
I was right on the edge for choosing between the "too much" and "unplayable" options because horrible lag is ever present but I only call it unplayable when client and server get so desynched I drop dead from 2-3 seconds worth of damage I never saw happen on my screen and it only get's that bad about half the time I try to play.

Im in australia on the EU server, and i ve never experienced better pings than 350 since i started about a year ago- when it was 250, since the one tamriel update its gotten progressively worse unfortunately.

weapon swapping is impossible, once i get rooted- the split second i need to break - i can't- et, etc. but i ve learnt to build around it, my builds should be called "lag builds". i need dps, gap closers and heals on both bars because of it- and in a way - I've made it work. i do hope things get better though- the ping is why most of my friends have tried the game- but decided not to stay with it.

I'm sorry to hear that the poor game performance led to friends leaving the game.

My main group I ran with a year ago left cyrodiil all together due to poor performance and terrible game balance. Half of them switch to competitive PvE and the other half found new games to play. I have zero interest in PvE and struggle to keep playing PvP.

I started to this thread in hopes to raise awareness as to how many people struggle with or quit PvP or the game due to poor performance. ZOS doesn't seem to have interest in improving performance in Cyrodiil beyond butchering wildlife and campaign player capacity, which is not an improvement.

I understand it would require significant resources to address the issue but I believe that returning PvP to "the good old day" would greatly increase ESO player count. I believe that ZOS thinks that players are disinterested in PvP because they prefer PvE but in reality they just became fed up with lag and game imbalances.

I could not vote bc it depends I stay far away from zergs so almost none at all but if I do port to a keep that is under attack and there is a huge fight like 100v100 then the lag is crazy but as soon as I get just a little bit away nothing at all

i stay in ic. proper framerate and ping + small scale. got tired of 7-13 fps and ca. 300ms in a 50vs50 fight in tf . unplayable.

I play at Azura PC EU almost every day last year. I can't play all this time at Trurflame because of lags. The best time for pvp was after hist and before one tamriel.
Last week I can't play at all. Even with low settings and solo.

My lag is generally not that bad at all, but somedays it gets just impossible to play PVP because i just keep getting disconnected when i get near groups of players.

2. 4ms ping / 115mb download / 60mb upload.

Note: Playing from South America and my average ping when i'm not lagging is about 180.

Hilariously, the times I've been in Cyrodiil I've generally had less lag than in most PVE areas.

Granted, I never go to Cyrodiil for actual PVP, so take that for what it's worth.

I wish IC was an option. It's super under populated on PS4 NA. You just end up running into the same players over and over again.
