Your telling me there is a website out there with near 150,000 listings that is updated in almost real time so that people can see what is being bought and sold in 45 of the 171 kiosks in the game?
Link please. Because I have yet to see a trading site that is any kind of up to date.

Yeah because an AH is so bandwitdth intensive other games just crumble under the data-load. Oh, wait, no they don't.
In fact I bet EVERY single MMORPG out there that has better player numbers, and player satisfaction than ESO actually has an AH.
And your previous point about players only being able to list 10 or so items is so laughable I can only assume you have never played any other MMORPG. I can't think of one single premier MMORPG that has such low limits. Off the top of my head SWTOR allows me 60 listings.
And why is it this debate seems to assume that we can have the current broken Kiosk system or an AH system that some claim is even more broken.
Are they the only two options out there? No.
Is there scope to radically overhaul the Kiosk system to offer improved market access to ALL players, and more UI functionality and it still NOT be a centralised AH? Of course there is.
The ONLY people supporting the status quo are the 15-20% of players who benefit from being in a high-end Trade Guild.
Everyone else is getting the smelly end of the stick and being told to like it because there's nothing better.
The Trade Guild / Kiosk system is still, by far, the biggest weakness of the game, and its biggest failing.
I personally know of 12 players who tired ESO and left because there was no way for them to dispose of loot they did not want other than vendoring it for laughably low prices. And these are players that Sub for games, even games that have F2P options.
Can Zeni really afford that kind of potential revenue loss just to appease a tiny minority who benefit from a rigged market?
All The Best

That is why I don't see it, don't have an Xbox1.....
How do things get updated, is it automatically through an API? Or is it user updated?

No need to update anything.
Ppl literally screen shot X for sale or they type it out.
These primarily are ppl who don't use traders.
But also ppl screenshot X or Y for sale at ....trader too
I do k ow clubs work on win 10 PC but because this game isn't aligned you'd not have the full functionality that the console version uses.
Ppl could prob figure out a way to use one drive or something or just text and have PC clubs. It also offer voice party chat if ppl set up their atuff.
Not sure if u have to buy Xbox live gold tho as I've always had it
The system as is, a global Auction House, a mobile Auction Horse, or Pawn Brokers in place of the current Guild Traders that everyone can access. Pawn Brokers would function similar to how Guild Traders do now except they would not be locked by a single Trade Guild.

Ahh, manual updates with the lags and errors of omission those entail. I was wondering if somehow someone had cracked the API and was using that to drive a website. So, this is not really different from some earlier attempts on the PC. It only works for the ones who take the time to update it and the information is only as good as the updates. Which is pretty much the same as what we have on the PC with Master Merchant and TTC so even with those mature and popular addons, they are still limited to either the 5 guilds were are in or the people who run the addon.

Global Auction House is cool for people that are totally broke and wanna drag the cost of all items down to the level they can afford.
Sellers will have to take a short on what they are selling since they will have to compete with EVERYONE else. So item prices will constantly go down.
Buyers will be happy that items are cheaper... Buyers also won't have as much gold since the stuff they are selling won't net them anywhere near as much....
Still sound like a good idea?
Please quit giving bad info to zos this would be a horrible change.
For people complaining about the ui there are add on's that make it much easier.
NewBlacksmurf wrote: »People on the consoles desperately need an interface like Awesome Guild Store. People on the PC just need to use the addon.
Anyway, I can find anything I need or want in one town's kiosks and the 5 guild stores that I am member of in the bank. The people who want an Auction House, aside from the bad Stock UI for using the Kiosks, just don't want to look for rare items or bargains. Rare items should take time and effort to find, and just because you have Gold, does not mean that process should be short cut. And, for bargains, time is money, spend the time looking for the lowest price, or spend the gold on the price that is right in front of you.

I disagree for Xbox one at least.

You join a open or closed club and either type and or screen and type. Ppl can comment or chat and none of that requires a guild or trader.
Price checking ....shrug....I personally don't get into that. If I want it, I buy it. I don't care if there's a cheaper price unless I don't want to spend X amount.
COD and move on.

Your solution to the issues people are bringing up is to head outside of the game? When that is the recommended solution it kind of proves their point, doesn't it?

Essentially a Craigslist for the Game. However it is not an Auction House in the sense that you can see everything that is for sale in the game in one location or screen. That is what some people want. Your still limited to the friction of the person who has what you want being online, and it is still limited to the people who participate, which is, based on the numbers you have said, a fraction of the player base.
If ZOS would ever at least come up with an Awesome Guild Store addon, and possibly a Master Merchant, although that information is there for those who care to look, then most of the calls for an Auction House will go away. Except those coming from folks who do not want to take the time to look for rare items or bargains.
Trust me, I did not use the Guild Kiosks until I broke down and got the Awesome Guild Store addon (I am not one who has many addons, I prefer to play this game without them). I feel for the people on the consoles having to deal with the interface.
Unless your in certain trade guilds it's not an advantageous system for over half the population ...
But if your in a guild in one of the top spots I can see why you would never want it to change
I just sell stuff to merchants I do t need at this point and the system wastes to much of what game time I have to go on an Easter egg hunt to try to find it ... so I either try to find it or do without now

Aside from a more user friendly UI, the system doesn't need to change.
