How about no. Not everything needs a achievement,quest,grInd. If you have the gold,you should able to just flat out buy what you want for once in this game.

I heard that you will not be allowed to build a house before you've proven to be a good neighbour. You'll need to do a (or some) quests before you can buy a certain somewhere.

All unfurnished homes that you can purchase for in-game gold will also be available for purchase with crowns. You can move and replace all furnishings that are included with furnished homes as you wish, just like any other furnishing items. If horses at the stable cost 10k and 42k, I would expect housing prices to be much higher than that.

but also do not make them superexpensive, that would suck and *** off pretty big part of the players I guess

I'm really hoping the big mansions/giant homes are crown exclusives and cost around 20,000 Crowns. I'd LOVE to have a house VERY FEW people have.

I read this feature will be there. See the official ZOS housing announcement. I'm ok with it but from an immersion stand point of having saved the lives of all the alliance monarchs and having defeated The God of Schemes seems funny to me that a bunch serfs in the middle of nowhere get to make this decision.
Also, Skyrim didn't have a single monarch ruling the entire kingdom so buttering up the top guy/gal in each province made immersive sense.

Should be gold. I really think housing should show your ingame wealth and not your irl wealth.

ZOS -- I'll say this again. Pretty won't get you a single crown or $ from me. Houses must have function. I must have a reason to buy it other than screenshots.

If decoration items are sold through the crown store, wouldn't it make sense to sell the largest houses at a low price?

That way a lot of people get to buy the largest houses and decorate with real money (crowns).

...Why? Houses are instanced anyway, so people won't be able to see that it's you owning the house and not any other random person. Plus, isn't that, like, almost $200? That is an insane price for an in-game purchase in an MMO, especially if it doesn't actually improve your gameplay.

I am actually curious how ESO is actually going to do this. I know their end goal is to make money off everyone, so even if housing is available with gold, I am sure ESO has something else planned.

I think with the nice homes they will make the price so high most can't afford it, but then give them an option to buy in the crown store.
