Who will quit this game if housing costs to much?

You get housing for free by doing a simple quest.

I'm concerned that this game of dungeon crawling and faction warfare will turn into a single-player house decorating simulator. In my view it would be more conducive for the game to focus on gameplay-related activities. A guild hall with a duelling arena, target dummies and other meaningful things would make sense, but yeah, if people are going to sit indoors in their pixelhouse from February onwards, it's gonna suck big-time.

I joined TESO recently because I heard they would add housing. If I cannot afford a home I am gone.
hit the wrong vote...been here since the start...but if housing is out of reach or lacks the basic features I expect...then I am gone :D

I won't quit over it - but as someone who has been looking forward to housing for a very long time - it's going to annoy me if I can't afford one. So I hope they are reasonably priced and not in the millions or anything stupid like that.

I for sure will leave if a gear cap raises within the next few months. I might leave over what they are doing to the crit for proc sets. It shows they do not know what they are doing anymore.

That's just the icing on the sweetroll. Now imagine the cinnamon and flaky pastry underneath, and think of how grossly ZOS has been neglecting the players by not having consumable sweetrolls. Could even throw provisioners a bone and give them a gold sweetroll recipe. This should ideally be combined with a level of world interaction found in the single player TES games where we can place all of our sweetrolls down on the ground for everyone to see, and completely fill the Bank of Daggerfall up with them to the brim.

Housing does not interest me and is not the reason I am here. I will not leave TESO over it.
I could really not care less about housing if I tried. I find myself playing less and less because I've run several characters through about everything there is to do now. When I leave it will be because there is nothing new or interesting for my characters to do. To me housing is just something to detract from the fact we haven't really got anything new for quite a while now.

I want a home simply because I want all this game has to offer. But I would not leave if I cannot afford it.
I'm going to get the free house just because it's a thing to do, and because I'm hoping I'll understand why it's so exciting to other people even without storage.

If I like it and I want one or more of the paid ones I'll save up for it. The nice thing about games is you don't need to worry about rent or food or unexpected bills so saving up is relatively simple, just don't buy non-essential stuff until you can afford whatever you want.

Housing gets a big ol' "meh" from this one. Besides the Devs said every player will be given access to an apartment through a quest, that's enough for me.

I've been saving for a large house when I thought we might get mannequins or something to store sets. Since this is not the case, there is a small Redguard house I have my eye on that I'm sure I could afford.

I will note: for me to consider a house 'too expensive', the house I want would have to be Crown Store-only. Even then, I probably wouldn't leave the game and never come back...I might leave until the next update out of boredom, it would depend on what else would be included in the update. I don't think crafting and selling furniture could keep me busy for another three months.

I'm hoping ZOS has learned their lesson over extremely overpriced items (I'm looking at you elk mount), and will make housing affordable. Yes, I realize the houses are for in game gold, but the backlash will be the same as it was for the elk mount if ZOS just makes the prices insane even if it's in game gold.

If the prices are just nuts, then I will just do without a house, but it will be just one more thing that eventually will be the tipping point for me and this game. I imagine I'm not alone in this thought. I really hope the housing prices and all things associated with them are reasonable. We've waited a long time for housing.. I hope housing turns out to be just a whole lot of fun for all! :)

From the housing video, the "DPS dummy" skeleton thing seemed to die at the end of the demonstration, so it's hard to know if it has a limited amount of health, unlimited health with a timer attached to it upon activation, or unlimited health with a way for the player to manually disengage immediately. I'm hoping it's the third scenario, but the second scenario would be acceptable if the timer ranges were customizable.

If I can't afford even the small Argonian house in Bal Foyen that I have my eye on, then I guess I'll have to stick to living under the Alessia Bridge :(

It's been stated here that the health is limited, but is measured in the millions. I'm hoping it has a couple of presets for health/resists so we can test the difference between, say, an enemy player vs a trial boss. Some way to test AoE would be nice too.

Wait... this is the topic I was trying to derail to. Um... so how 'bout them sweetrolls?

Too much in game gold? No, it will be challenge to farm money for it.
Too much in Crowns? No, it will be pleasure to spend some money.
And now it's time to derail: I think ZOS should implement weapon dyes in next patch.

Who here has committed suicide because housing in real life is too high? I suspect the answer is no one, unless one of you are a ghost. I would expect no one to quit over the pricing.

Personally I'm expecting somewhere along 100-200k per small home, 500-750k medium, and 2-5m for the grande. That is before they are furnished. I would love to see lower prices, but my guess is housing will be a gold sink.

I am curious if the different platforms will have different prices since farming of gold on each has a different time value.

I hope to get a house I like all aspects of the game, but if it is to much, I will not buy one and I will not leave the game over something so trivial, since the first house is given to you in a quest line, I may not upgrade but at least I have my one room shack, there are bigger issues this game has that is driving me away.

Housing is not important, it's a nice feature, but I'm not going to move to another MMO because of it. If you're planning to leave because you can't afford a house then I'm sorry but you really need to grow up. Is your self estime really that low that you NEED a fictional home in your video game? All I want is for them to keep delivering good content, sure it doesn't always fit in my tastes, but I know the devs do a good job on most of it.
