Share Play Free VMA Runs?

While I can see you have very good intentions with this and are trying to be helpful to the community, which is a good thing, I completely disagree with this idea.

People need to learn to do these things on their own. If they are not good enough to complete VMA on their own merit then that is a challenge they need to overcome. That is how people get better at things by facing the obstacles before them. If everything is given to you there is no growth. Not trying to get too philosophical here but the axiom holds true.

When I started running VMA it frustrated me to no end and made me want to quit. Once I finally beat it I had such a feeling of accomplishment it made me thankful for the struggle and appreciative of the lesson it taught me. In the end it has made me a much better player. The act of doing it, struggle included, is part of the process of becoming a better player.

For someone to have that hard work done for them goes against everything the game and frankly life is about. It is also a slight to those who have accomplished it the old fashioned way (regardless of leaderboards they now get the stormproof title).

My recommendation would be to NOT offer this service. I do not think in the end you are helping anyone by doing this. You are certainly NOT helping the players you do this for.

I do want to stress the people I've done this for so far have been pretty thankful.

Not only do they learn first hand as I explain the fights as we go through on their own personal character showing that even in crap gear and being dishartened that it is possible to get it done.

As mentioned it's only 1 run I have yet to see anything "Solid" apart from a sharpen bow which the dude was quite lucky.

Most in all honesty just wanted the costume lol... but I do get you honestly.

Generally I have 50 videos on my twitch page with in depth guides and walkthroughs but as previously mentioned for some it's causing real... "issues" that can't be overcome.

I did mention a few friends actually have health issues and honestly can't respond in a timely manor to environmental effects. That's not them being "bad". I do agree that it shouldn't be a hand out, but honestly I don't see as 1 run being a hand out in my open eyes/opinion.

Non the less I do appreciate your feedback and everything you said 90% of I agree with.

Not true, know a couple of people that got official warnings for "account sharing" by letting a mate log in and do VMA for them so they could get weapons....

This is a console term so no one is logging in anyone else's account or accessing their account. The hey are only passing control over to play the character while each are online simultaneously.

It's two different ppl each on their own account the whole time.

Because money. If ZoS wanted to sell PS4 versions of ESO then they didn't have a choice.

It seems we agree on much and while I don't agree with you on everything I have a lot of respect for your civility. I've also seen a lot of your VMA posts and I have to say you really go the extra mile toward being helpful which is a real asset to the ESO community.

Agreed. Too few people know how to have a civil well mannered conversation a truly painful process when even having a disagreeing conversation not to get "angry" or frustrated with one another.

Yes we do agree on things which is good but it's perfectly fine to disagree with others also.

Thank you for your comment about my VMA posting, I do try to GIVE BACK as much as I can to the community as I was exactly in the same positions, now I have many people asking pve/pvp questions to my inbox and my stream which is really good to see.

My posts do come across a bit (full on) sometimes but that's my aggro typing speed and not exactly thinking about what I have to say sometimes LOL.

Hello Arch,

I'm not sure if you know Arch, but while in shareplay the other people see's exactly what you're doing 100% of the time and with 1 click of the button can take the control back from that player which was shared with.

Also I'm not sure if you know much about me as a person or player especially all the feedback and help I do offer.
Why would I go do something like that anyway (not that it's even possible as above what I had stated)? Makes no sense if you ask me.

I've never owned a Playstation, didn't know the details of how Shareplay worked. Even if you personally have nothing but good intentions, which is commendable and worthy of recognition in this hostile internet, my remark still carries weight as MANY others wouldn't hesitate.

But yes, as shareplay both viewers view the screen at the exact same time.

So you can take back the control at any point.

Especially when share play commences, they are in VMA and going to the bank... is a 10minute task LOL.

Any way just stating some facts for you is all.

Share play has been going on since release of VMA , do it if you wanna. Kinda old news for players that have been around on PS4. Selling leaderboard spots has been big Bussiness for some

Really don't think that's what we have been discussing but all good.

Shareplay is pretty damn hard to score, not that I've really tried as I generally have people log out for a period of time then log back in to ensure a score run isn't obtained.

For what it's worth 1 run for someone to get them the silly costume it's worth it for me as offering a general helping hand.

I understand as a one off for friends or something but just to do yourself as a treat to them is time lost over something not worthwhile. I'm sure there's something more satisfying you could do irl than do 'free vma runs' for random.
