Share Play Free VMA Runs?

Hello.

- Sorry for double posting but this is more of a general discussion than a trial/dungeon discussion. -

Let's say hypothetically because I'm still making up my mind. That I'd be willing to use my own time helping out those who are less fortunate with VMA.

Do you think a major scolding would unfold?

Like ( don't worry matey ) pass me the controller I'll get it sorted for you?

It wouldn't be for personal gain what so ever. Thoughts?

Yeh then u could flawless runs for people so they get the title but are totally useless, I like the idea

I doubt, you could obtain flawless with a 1-1.5 second delay sometimes we are talking about share play.

You'd have to be pretty damn good anticipating things.

If you're not charging them and just doing as a social thing....it's not an issue.

It's when ppl are advertising to do something in exchange for a monetary reward or in game reward that it becomes questionable.

I'm just saying I understand people don't have time.. and would love ( a weapon ) regardless what it was.

As a friendly social (experience and gesture) I was going to say ok, you have a mage sorc regardless of gear.

As something "Fun to do"

Was linked in PS4 TOS for elderscrolls doesn't breach TOS while using shareplay.

Don't believe so. This is a playstation feature, pretty sure someone commented from zos saying playshare through playstation was ok.

I think we all had established that it was ok to do so.

My only concern was some kind of blacklash if I was to say:

Ok write you names down who needs a run and you can shareplay with me in order for me to do A run per person.

As a social thing nothing more.

Whether it's against TOS or not, it's putting a completion (and likely a leaderboard completion) in the hands of someone that wouldn't otherwise have gotten it, which bumps a legit leaderboard score off the list. That's the issue I'd have with it. If it's not about leaderboards, I'd suggest a quick DC at the start so it's just about the completion and not the leaderboard.

It wouldn't be possible as share play as the delay I was speaking about most likely an hour and 10minute run.

450k Score at best.

Then PlayStation isn't the platform for you. Every game allows this but this was known since early on prior to this game being released for PS4

I'd just want to confirm. I myself that go for score runs I would never place people on that didn't achieve this themselves.

Yep. Just wanted to confirm I may put something out tomorrow to see who wants runs done with a specific requirement during shareplay. Upload/Download speed etc.

Not true, know a couple of people that got official warnings for "account sharing" by letting a mate log in and do VMA for them so they could get weapons....

That's PC doe PS4 is different that's what this whole discussion about PS4 has a feature that allows account sharing and ZOS has to allow it.

Hmm, wonder what they did to get caught. I heard about a guy who ground the thing for half a guild to get weapons. Rumors I guess. Also heard about some who did it for gold. Pretty funny if ZOS banned a PC player when apparently it is allowed on playstation.

They will never asnwer that because its a losexlose question:

- They they allow it people will go rampage and start to paying for other people to run it;
- If they don't allow it they will have to ban/suspend every account that have done it, which is kind a lot.

Just go with "don't ask, don't tell".

It's above board as it's stated that shareplay is completely find on ESO on the account section of ESO and on the PS4 forums.

This doesn't breach TOS

I think it's got something to do with you're not actually giving your account to someone (user/password)

Hence this isn't considered "Stealing" I think that was the general concern.

Because they are not even close to being the same thing.
The issue with game sharing is a sale is lost for the company.
The issue with share play is a bunch of gamers on a forum are upset that people are running the maelstrom for others.

There's no whining about share play in any other games.

It's altruistic of you and I respect your desire to help friends, but idk it seems wrong.

Ppl might use it to feign a level of skill needed to play in a guild, and that might end up being frustrating for people.

I've considered it, but I instead make lots and give soul gems/advice to my friends instead, watching their streams and helping point out mechanics

I do the same. The exact same.

I write huge write ups for people for their specific builds I point out issues via twitch and shareplay.

I also have friends with health issues... and the inability to donate x time.

If 1 run via shareplay makes their experience with ESO that much better than I'm all for it.
