Will there be jewelry crafting ever?

Would it be worth it to add in a future dlc or is the game fine without?

I really wish they would add it. I don't know why they haven't yet. I can only hope that they do in the very near future. Maybe there is some unknown reason why they can't won't. I have no idea.

I don't think so, jewelry is the only gear that is really grindable, to get gold jewelry takes the longest of grinding for most, therefore, making it craftable will only take the biggest grind out of the game.

I expect it soon, now that most every drop set comes with it. May not include quality Upgrade to gold.

They stated in an interview before OT that they intend to implement it, but not in the near future.

    Probably not any time soon.

It comes down to replayability and life cycle of content. They need some items to be exclusive to certain activities to keep people playing the content. Same deal with BoP sets.

I hope they do add it at some point though.

Was just thinking about this. Now every dropped set, from the worst to the best, has jewellery available it's getting to be a bit of a joke that crafted sets can't have any.
They wouldn't even need to add in any other mats other than the three trait stones; you could get the gold from deconning trash jewellery or maybe even converting in game gold to ingots so they get another gold sink in the bargain. Higher levels would just be more gold.
That way tempers would mostly come from deconning too so they wouldn't eliminate the grind for purple and gold gear.

    Agree on all counts.

i think keeping upgrade limited to just crafted sets for jewels leaves the play-content-for-jewels still repeatable.

besides, the weapons are the hardest to farm and they are craftable for every crafted set. I think as many or more folks are running VMSA and others for the sharpened weapons than the rings.

Adding jewelry crafting would make crafted sets great again. Night's Silence, Torug's Pact, etc, would have a new lease on life.

Not soon enough. Disappointing that they would release a set system that uses jewelry but you can't even get gold versions of.

I don't really want a jewelry craft. I think it is great to have pieces that are dropable only.

I think it would be better to have sets that can actually be fully gold.

If nothing else, a way to upgrade jewelry would be nice. There are some sets that I'm pretty sure simply don't drop anything above blue quality. Would be good to at least be able to bring them up to purple so they are in line with almost everything else.

Craftable sets need jewlery options, even if I have to go grind it.

Especially for Staffs and 2H and bow builds unless they are ging to adjust staffs and 2H to count as 2 pieces of a set

the first problem is how does jewellery work with the traits system?

There is no research available for jewellery so there is no research. So a no trait crafter can make twice born start jewellery?

It would really be neat! Just add another tab to the enchanting stations, and give us some jewelry crafting... rings, amulets... they could also add more new stuff, like circlets/crowns (head slot, no armor, but increased trinket effect & enchantment), or spell foci (stuff like holy symbols, ornate spellbooks, meditation crystals, gilded scepters, etc.) as alternative to staves for casting destro- and resto-magic!

Actually jewelry does have three traits. Robust, Healthy and Arcane, IIRC. Perhaps one way to do it is researching one trait allows crafting up to three trait sets, two gets you up to six trait sets, and all three gets you the nine trait sets. The research time could even be extended a bit to make up for the low number of currently available traits.

Of course, even if there were no researching required to make the jewelry, that would still only get you up to the three item set bonus. You'd still have to research all nine traits on something else in order to get the big five item bonus that makes sets like Twice-Born Star so desirable. At minimum, a one handed weapon that you dual wield.
