Maelstrom Ice Stage: way too annoying?

So, I was just comparing the stages, isn't the Ice stage kind overannoying compared with the other arenas? I mean its really annoying when you realize the amount of thing that you need to handle at the same time and some of them are glitchy as skooma hang over.

- Heavy dot from iced water;
- Only 50% of usable area (even less);
- Too many ranged enemies that spawns attacking you;
- DPS race but not too fast or way too many mobs will spawn too if you take too long mama giant will destroy the plataform;
- Double uppercut combo from mama giant and their minions;
- The step that is way too high and you need to jump over because if you can walk over it (some edges of the safe plataforms);
- The boss that spawns more minions in the whole arena (6[+3 wolves] minions + at least 2 ice ladies from the plataforms + at least 2 trolls);
- All regular atacks from mama giant knocks you back;
- Shatter is unrolldodgeable;
- Stupid head minions that stays on the water.

I know some of them are L2p but for the eight this is one annoying stage, especially from the third round beyond.
(I'm flawless conquerer and eventually I even make to the ranked)

    Yeah, it sucks.
    Especially the ranged guys standing in the ice.

    The ice dot should effect enemies. Problem solved :P

    If you have Flawless you should have learned the mechanics by now.
    Unless you paid for it or something silly like that.

    It's simply l2p, I can do the levels in my sleep.

    The only bad mechanic in VMA is the RNG drops.

    Stage 7 is worse imo, since the poison spawns are random.

    Well that's good to know. I finally finished stage 5 for the first time the other day. I got through the first 4 with a bit of a struggle and I died a lot but it was nothing like this one. It took me ages and I died heaps. Was stuck on it for a few weeks but only giving it a shot for a few hours a week. Hopefully I can get through the rest now!!

    I find stage 8 more annoying. The only thing the ice stage has which I fear is the shatter ground attacks that the giants and boss do. That and sometimes you don't see the red indication she's about to smash the platform, or even sometimes if you move platform too early she will follow you and smash the platform you just ran to. I can complete the ice stage without dying more regularly than I can complete stage 8 without dying though.

    Bro they need to delete 3rounds. Preferably 5,6 & 7 for QoL reasons because 1hr runs seems about the average run and its not good enough to waste a hour of your life then leave dissapointed about 267322356 times

    Someone asked me recently what the hardest part of vMA is.

    I told him, "For you, stage 9; for me, stage 5."

    It's not uncommon to see people stuck on Voriak for days or weeks when trying to get their first clear. Voriak is very mechanics-heavy and requires precise execution of those mechanics. It's the hardest fight for someone starting out, but once they've done that enough that they've learned it, it becomes very easy. More than any other part of the arena, the Voriak fight benefits the most from "learning the mechanics", and it transforms from the hardest fight for a newbie to one of the easiest fights for an experienced player.

    Stage 5, on the other hand, doesn't have a lot of mechanics for you to follow--things like the reduced combat surface isn't really a mechanic that you can learn--it's just something you cope with and tolerate. Instead, the difficulty of stage 5 stems from brute force. Stage 5, I think, is the part of the arena that benefits the least from practice (not saying that practice doesn't help--it does--but it doesn't help as much as it does in other stages).

    So relatively speaking, stage 5 is the hardest stage for experienced players. Though stage 7 is also a strong contender in that department because sometimes you just get screwed by luck. In one of my recent runs, I had a minder put up his bubble almost right over one of those lingering spit pools, and the part of the bubble that wasn't in the spit was too close to a plant. RIP.

    Most of the arenas have at least one annoying element, but for me Ice stage (5) from round 3 beyond is annoying as hell.

    Lol yeah, I'm a stage 4 vamp with 15k hp and recently switched out crushing shock for force pulse, and those flame shapers really make me sweat. Them and that damn titan in the last stage with his flame light attacks that remove my ward in one go. I should really remember to feed before running it.

    The whole damn thing is annoying if you ask me.

    There is a difference in challenging gameplay and then torture. I think VMA is more of the latter.

    I do agree that are some "torture-ish" elements, but they are not that bad. XD

    I find stage seven's mechanics worse. The other stages require memorization, stage seven requires luck.

    Although I have some annoying fps drops on stage five, when the ice is broken. You learn to live with those too, though, since you know exactly when they are coming.
    Just so that everyone knows, my Altmer still can't have black hair. About a dozen of Altmer NPCs in the game have black hair. Just saying.

    Meet my characters:
    Command: Do the thing.

    Zadarri, Khajiit Fist of Thalmor: The thing was done, as commanded.
    Durza gra-Maghul, Orc blacksmith: The thing was done perfectly, in the most efficient way.
    Tegwen, Bosmer troublemaker: You can't prove I didn't do the thing.
    Sings-Many-Songs, Argonian fisher: Sure, I'll do the thing... Eventually. Maybe.
    Aerindel, Altmer stormcaller: After extensive research, I've come to the conclusion that doing the thing would be a waste of resources.
    Liliel, Dunmer pyromancer: Aerindel said I shouldn't do the thing. Something about "resources".
    Gyda Snowcaller, Nord cryomancer: I will find a way to do it that won't waste resources and make Aerindel proud of me.
    Beatrice Leoriane, Breton vampire: I persuaded someone else into doing the thing. You are welcome, dear.
    Sahima, Redguard performer: Doing the thing sounds awfully unpleasant and really not my problem.
    Ellaria Valerius, Imperial priestess: I'll pray to the Eight for the thing to be done, if it is Their will.

    Round 7 and the Spiderlings are my thorn in my side, if you don't have mobility (which on my Magplar I usually don't) and not enough bugs spawn to activate the mechanic then the spiders pretty much get me everytime... pretty certain the spawning of the bugs is all RnG because RnG hates me.

    7 is nothing, easy peasy. Yes occasionally the plant will screw your flawless but other than that it's easy.

    5 is the pain imo.
    I have multiple chars with flawless but round 5 irks me the most, although ive not run VMA for months so none of this applies to me :)
