You get deletions back over time. You can delete three characters at once, and get a deletion back each day. It's there to keep gold farmers from constantly rolling up new characters.

You have gotten a lot of good advice in this thread. I am going to add my generic what to do while leveling blurb here. Some is a repeat of what is in this thread, some is new.

If you need Gold, engage the Legerdemain System and Steal and Fence. There are many areas that are rich in things to steal with few to no NPCs around so the risk is next to 0.

Gear, with Enchants that help your character is important. Not meaning you need the best set, you just need something. And, don't forget Jewelry, either normal stuff, or something that is part of a set. Just have something in all your slots. Note, while leveling, try to wear a mix of armor weights so they all level up. Food can help, Blue for early levels, Purple for higher ones. Where do you get gear? From killing mobs. Get something that is better than what you have on, use it. Worry about the good gear later.

Have a Class Skill and a Weapon skill on your bar at all times so you can get those leveled. Mix in a 5th skill to level up and use along the way. Once you get a skill to Morph stage, you may want to slot another one and get that to Morph rather than build the previous one all the way up. Save maxing your skills post morph for later.

World Bosses are not designed to be solo'd. Wait for other players to show up, or send out a Zone chat that such and such World Boss is up, people will show up, as they are farming dropped set items.

Join a good guild, sometimes you can find one by running with a random player, sometimes from zone chat, sometimes from a thread on the boards here. You can always drop a guild, so don't worry about doing that. There is no black list unless you are a complete tool, and while there is still no list, word will get around if you just dump on everyone all the time. But, try a guild, then leave for whatever reason? No worries there.

Delve Bosses you can solo, if your gear is decent (not the best, just decent) and you have some skills in your rotation. Its all about skills in the game, sometimes weaved in with Light or Heavy Attacks, sometimes just skill rotations. The rotation you use needs to make sense to you and your build, so it will be different for everyone. However, some skills will buff the next skill you use, or next set of skills you use, so maybe use that first. Some skills are Damage over Time, so apply those early, but don't spam them until you need to apply it again. Some skills are cheap cost damage dealers, so spam those, but not so quickly you use up your resources. Weaving in Light or Heavy Attacks, with or without animation canceling, can help.

Finally, combat in this game requires you to be Mobile, Agile and Hostile. Move around, attack from advantage. Learn to Block, Dodge Roll, Interrupt (Bash), Stay out of Red etc, and you can soon take very little damage while in combat, at least most of the time.

    Good Luck.

you can delete 3 and then you have to wait for your deletes to go back up
idk how long it is per delete restore

This is not like Diablo II where u could spoil a character ? I will learn all the skills ?

I'm also new but been playing mmos for ever and ever, but take what I say with a grain of salt.

So can you spoil your character?
    No.

You can spend ingame coin to reset both your skill and, iirc, stat choices.

Imo, it's more important in the beginning to level up as wide a variety of skills as you can so that when you do decide where you want to focus, you already have decent levels on the skills you end up wanting.

If at first you don't succeed, LFG.

Looked for edit button but couldn't find it :/

Anway, edited to add a * at the 'stat change' thing. Not sure on that. Needs confirmation from players that actually know what they're talking about.

Yes, you can respec your Attributes. And Skills as you have mentioned, and, if you want, just your Morphs.

I've figured out what you should level, and it's pretty much the same:

    - level your class skills, and when you unlock all of them start morphing them to what suits you best; if you are stamina pick the stamina morphs; keep a weapon whose line you want to level on your bar because that will level even if you don't slot any skills from that line;

    - level 2 weapon lines, putting corresponding weapon setups on each bar: for stamina builds 2W or 2H and Bow, for magicka builds destruction and restoration staff - even if you don't plan on becoming a healer the healing staff skills can help you solo some harder content.

    - level a line of armor: medium for stamina builds, light for magicka builds; even better, wear all 3 types of armor to level them all at the same time. My rule is: chest always heavy, waist always light and pants medium, with the rest of the pieces from the main type you want to use. That way you will always have 5 pieces of the right type giving you full passives, but also maximize your resistance.

    - level fighters guild skill line by completing dolmens and killing daedra, undead and werewolves in general; skills are more useful for stamina builds, but there is one skill - trap beast (gives you extra critical damage) and one passivebanish the wicked (gives you extra ultimate for killing undead) that are totally worth it even for magicka builds.

    - level mages guild by collecting lore books especially if you are magicka build. Some classes don't have access to some buffs and you can complement them with skills from that line. Others are essential for any magicka build: inner light and meteor.

    * as a general rule prioritize skills and their morphs, and only focus on passives once you have leveled those.

    - level your crafting skills but don't spec points in them until you have actually become proficient and have fully specced the skills above. Clothier, Woodworking, Blacksmithing and Enchanting can be leveled just by deconstructing gear and glyphs. Provisioning and alchemy only increase by crafting, since you can't deconstruct a food or potion. The first you can level without investing any passives, since cooking ingredients are cheap and you can go on crafting level 15 food until you hit level 50 - it increases reasonably fast. However alchemy ingredients are much more expensive and so it's most effective to actually wait until you have managed to gather enough skill points and apply them immediately, and start crafting at the higher tier, once you level up enough. Discovering new ingredient properties gives you more inspiration.
