Trial sets (Minor Slayer) ♪＼(^o^)／♩

The trial sets I'm mainly talking about here are, Infallible Aether, Vicious Ophidian, and Moondancer.. basically anything with the minor slayer bonus. Can these not be locked behind 12 man trials, please?
Alternatively can you think about adding 4-6 man trial content? I really want to get my hands on Vicious Ophidian. The difference between having minor slayer and not having minor slayer is night and day. Where you watch the health of monsters in vMA just disappear. Let's be honest, it's a freaking strong buff. Let's be honest about something else - if you're stamina and not running VO in PVE, you're gimping yourself.
Now I just want to note that I am not complaining about having to farm for gear here. I see the importance of that in an MMO, but dude, I can't muster up 12 people to farm trials. It can take me 8 hours to find 4 people for dailies. For some people that's possible, but for people like me, I just don't have them kind of contacts.

Just to be clear here, I'm not asking for easier content. I'm not asking for better RNG. I'm not asking to be handed Vicious Ophidian. Just some trial content that requires less people where you can drop these game changing PVE sets.

i don't want to sound rude, but you can do normal modes...they don't require a full group....

Not rude at all. I had considered that actually, but it wouldn't drop purple quality jewellery I would assume.

no, it would be blue quality, but minor slayer would be still 5%. You will loose like 0.1...0.2% crit and 100...150 stam on your VO-Jewelry. Not a big deal imo.

no, it would be blue quality, but minor slayer would be still 5%. You will loose like 0.1...0.2% crit and 100...150 stam on your VO-Jewelry. Not a big deal imo.

If I was just after the 3 piece alone I'd be totally down for wearing blue quality jewellery, because you're right, the difference would be negligible. However I'd like the 5pc of VO, so purple is the lowest quality I'd go unfortunately.

I believe purple jewelry still drops from chests in the trial, that is the only way to get purple. Otherwise you'll have to go straight to vet and the gold jewelry.

But you can upgrade all the armor/weapon you get tu pruple/gold, so it doesn't matter at all if it only drops in blue. The upgrade will cost you ~1k...2.5k Gold, which is not that much imo.
We sometimes even farmed weapons on normal modes, bc it was faster.

Ohhh so, normal can drop jewellery in chests with purple quality and vet is gold? Didn't know that one. Thanks!

Only from the coffer at the end you get purple stuff and it can't be traded. I think it can be weapon or jewelry as well.

Join active Trial/PVE guild! Alternatively, join maxed population Trade guild. I've jumped into multiple normal and vet Trial runs through one of mine.

This is the answer OP. With a bit of RNG luck you'll complete your 3-5 piece in a couple of vet runs.

They absolutely should remain locked behind vet trials.

There's a chance to get them from normal, but the chance is abysmally low, and I think that's fine.

First, while Minor Slayer is BiS, it's not BiS by the kind of margins that you are claiming. You're talking about a percentage or two of extra DPS compared to Willpower/Agility. And for classes that do substantial amounts of execute damage (magplars), Minor Slayer is actually worse than Willpower/Agility due to the improper stacking of the Minor Slayer bonus with execute bonuses.

Second, if you care enough about endgame PvE to want min/max Minor Slayer sets, then you should engage in endgame PvE--i.e., vet trials. The Minor Slayer sets drop like candy in vet trials, and just a few clears of a vet Craglorn trial will get you a full set, with the jewelry in gold. And, no, you don't need Minor Slayer sets to participate in the vet trials (how do you think we got these pieces in the first place?).

I agree they should still be in trials. I was just asking for trials that require perhaps 6 people at most (obviously with difficulty still above group dungeons). I just can't find the people to farm these sets. Everyone either already has VO, or are busy farming other sets with One Tamriel. Even to complete dailies these days I need to use the dungeon finder for one or two people.
I'm in two member capped guilds and I can't find anyone to do trials with. It's also not just the minor slayer I'm after. VO not only provides extra damage in dungeons/trials, but it gives you sustain and mobility.
Just to be clear, I don't expect to be handed this set on a golden platter. But finding members for dungeons and trials doesn't come easy as it does for others.

Best in slot endgame gear drops only in veteran trials. Other breaking news: water is wet.

But one thing to keep in mind is that VO is also amazing at resource management, and even more pronounced in vMA. You can et away with FAR less resource management concerns and focus on stacking crit and damage, because each kill gives you a little extra and every ability costs 8% less.

So for vMA, specifically, VO does actually give a night and day difference. For most other forms of content, a bit less.
