Only do it for fun, people have done countless runs and even quit the game because of the lousy drops.
If you're in there for the grind your game experience will be spoiled, so just don't.
VMSA is like having the RNG role play "Bubba" in the men's shower room in prison, and every weapon you want is a bar of soap on the floor. If you bend over to pick it up, usually nothing good will come of it...
roll multiple class/builds and only do it once a week on each for leaderboard rewards, aka 2 weapons per run.
efficient, and actually quite fun due to the diversity

if you can actually get on the leaderboards... sure. On PS4 you need at least 520k for last place. I guess i'm not that good to be on the leaderboard. i usually end up with 5 deaths (random poison crap from round 7) and a death or two in round 9 from bars not switching/skills not firing. I think my score averages around 470k now?

safe to assume you're a sorc then?
either way, 470k should get you on NB, DK, and templar weeklies if you have those toons.
My stam sorc got on the weekly on the 2nd run, all time on the 5th run, but thats because i already had a *** ton of practice on my main stamblade.
personally switching classes/builds to do it just once a week works for me, keeps me sane. No freaking way im gona do vMA back to back on the same character

What I dont understand is why do they think we use any trait besides sharpened for a weapon? literally none of the other traits help in any way that we desire
There are people who have run it 30-50 times and got each item exactly what they wanted.
So it's possible.
I love the people who shrug and be like yeah... nah not for me too crappy rng.. too many *** stories clearing etc etc.
That's cool enjoy sub-par dps, while we go on shredding.

Well the point is that the "reward" doesn't match the "work" at all. And you can get great dps without them... i've gotten on the leaderboards in every vet trial (except MoL) without mal weapons so far.
with a heavy attack build you can get maybe 3 to 4k dps extra with a sharpened lightning staff... and maybe 5 to 6k with stamina weapons. So people could still pull 40k+ without these weapons in a trial.
and btw...about those people that ONLY had to run it 40ish times.... thats still a terrible system. they literally spent 50+ hours to get 1 or 2 items. that is extremely unreasonable. Plus, those people are still out there that have run this place 100 times or more and still have nothing to show for it.... and i'm on track to be one of them.
MANY bow and shield drops for me... but i did finally get a precise staff!.... restoration.... so thanks for that
There is no carrot on the end of this stick

But then days go by... you do 10 more runs and get 5 bows (defending and nirn), 3 sword/shield sets (powered and infused), and 2 two handed axes (infused)....Then weeks go by and you do more runs and end up with the same garbage somehow... (save your lectures on RNG, i know how it works but the problem is the RNG itself - it shouldn't be this deep in vMA)
I still haven't seen an axe or dagger or ANY destro staff.... not one... and nothing sharpened.
Has the joke run its course yet at the ZOS office? Very funny folks... we all had a good laugh "ha" "ha" nice work on staying committed to the joke... but can we get something useful please for beating the hardest solo content in the game?... a dozen times? 50 times? At least give us some hope for change in the future....
If no.... then I suggest we make all trial drops like vMA. Every piece of jewelry that comes from vet trials should now come with all traits. I just want it to be fair for everyone... oh and take away the item trading in groups... then it might be similar to how the drops are in vMA. Say hello to 38 untrade-able, unsellable, ornate rings of vicious ophidian
