If you are rewarding buyers of the physical copy, which they are giving Bethesda money for, why penalise them for choosing to play ESO on an alternative preferred platform. Stinks to try to be controlled in this way, shame on you; aren't Bethesda making enough money out of us?
You realize that PSN uses 12 digit codes and xbox live uses 25 digit codes so they need to be different. It would make sense to include the ESO code in the format for which you purchased Skyrim. Don't forget that PC owners of Skyrim get the new release for free, so this is a nice incentive for console players who need to buy the game again if they want to play it.

True, but we don't get the mount.
I was trying to inject a little levity, but I don't think it quite comes across.

PS4 EU free aswell, just follow the above instructions, no purchase necessary.
They could just put the mount and costume on the Crown $tore as a digital upgrade. It's not like they don't have a precedent after all, they gave away the alleged 'collectors edition exclusives' the same way.
Throw that sucker on the store for ten bucks, they'll make (almost) everyone happy, and make some more cash while they're at it. It's a win-win for them.

It is possible they will toss them into Crown Crates to get people to buy them.

I just found out about the items and must say I'm quite disappointed that it's not in the digital edition. Especially given it was more expensive than the disc version.. Had I known about it I'd have not bothered with it and bought the hard copy, given that both games are my favourites.
I also saw that the costume and mount were supposedly available in the ps-store for free. well, I do not recall ever seeing any add-ons besides the crowns and eso plus subscription back then, anf now they are definitely not available.
Sad bunny is sad. =\
