Scathing Mage jewelry drops? Seen it anyone?

I've done many full runs of vICP and open trove chests there but neither me nor my group mates saw any (I'm checking their loot with an addon so I know they don't lie).

Have you actually got any such piece? Screenshot to prove it?

Where exactly did it drop and how frequently do you estimate it drops?

Last boss is still bugged so you won't get weapons or jewels drop from him as it should.

seen a neck drop from a chest in the dungeon but i have never heard anyone on pc side getting a jewelry or weapon drop from last boss, as a matter of fact he still gives a blue helm

Always arcane. Took me 34 keys to get 2 of these. Haven't seen a neck though. Gave up.

Went and farmed spell weave which is far far better. Secret. ..1st mini boss on vet Coa drops jewlery as does the daedroth thing. Easy work.

Ive only opened 3 vault chests in icp and havent gotten a jewlery, I did get a bow of sheer venom tho.

Well RNG is pretty killing so do not use too much once or can end up with lot of useless gear...

I lost like 10 keys (1.5k shards) and got only Scathing ring (useful)..

Other stuff including chest sturdy and shield training..

Yes, you can get scathing jewlery from adds(got one from adds before first boss), also from chest(got one aswell), and they drop from last boss(didn't get any yet), also from treasure vault.

When you guys say "chest" do you mean the regular chests or the chests in the trophy vaults unlocked with a certain amount of the fragments?

I disagree that Burning Spell Weave set is far better. In fact, it looks much worse than Scathing Mage.

Spell Weave has a cooldown of 12 secs and is in effect only for 8 secs out of those 12. Whereas Scathing Mage has a cooldown of 6 secs and can be in effect for virtually the entire 6 second period. That's a huge difference.

Besides, even common sense tells you that vICP is much harder than vCOA, so the drops shouldn't be better in vCOA. Unless the designers lost their minds.

Spell weave is awesome. Trust me. Grothdarr and Ilambris can proc it. You'll have it up everytime possible. Scathing is only good for sorcs and NB. Spell weave is fun for every class and is stupidly powerful. Plus it's so so easy to farm.

Sorry but how can you write you will have it up "everytime possible" when the official tooltip says it is active only for 8 secs and has a 12 second cooldown? Scathing Mage has no such inactive period.

Normal dungeon chests, trash and the vault chest can drop jewelry. I've seen them drop on all three places.

I should state these were vet runs not normal.

Would 5x Scathing Mage be stronger than 5x Twice Born Star for a Magicka Sorc DPS in Trial situations?

Though I wouldn't use the jewelry on my Magicka Sorc, I'm wondering if it's worth replacing TBS with it.

There's a unique Bow that drops from the GravelightnSentry boss called "The Vigilant One".

It's in the Sheer Venom Set. Just so you know

I'd have to replace 3x Moondancer and 2x Ilambris/Grothdarr/Skoria...

Or 5x Aether/Moondancer

Essentially it is not worth giving up Minor Slayer and a powerful monster set proc for.

Yes, scathing is stronger than TBS in raids for sorcs. IF you get an uptime of ~80% it is also stronger than burning spellweaver with ~60% Uptime.

Got both rings and necklace from opening vaults with saved up keys, but the drop rate is pretty bad. I think I used about 18-20 keys and got multiple necklaces and two rings.

Tested 5pc scathing with 5pc twice born - was disappointing. Went back to using gold infallible aether jewellery, a 2pc monster set and my VMA staff.

I had gotten a full Scathing jewelry set from the vaults (I had saved up a lot of vault keys that I used as soon as they fixed the vault bug). After they fixed the final boss, I got another ring from the final boss chest.
