What type of internet do some of you have? It took me a little over two hours to download the patch, hearing people QQ about 18 hours or even 6 hours is crazy.

Each time we make an update on consoles, the patches are additive due to how the patching tech works for first party. This is why there's such a large disparity between PC and console patch sizes.

Hello Gina, what can we do as a community to break away from the traditional updating process on consoles to innovate where the process is much more simple and less time consuming. I understand ps4 and xbox are different networks and what not, but this is an mmo on consoles there should be exceptions to every rule and this game should have a different process for consoles to get their updates like pc.

I understand you summit your update to testing teams for them to validate before going live, like all games but this process needs streamlined on consoles! that is my opinion which i am sure players and developers alike can agree with.

Sony and Microsoft won't let them do it has to go through them or no eso or patches for it at all. They are very touchy about their consoles. Each patch has to go through a seven day verification period that way they can make sure they did not add anything that can harm the xbox live or anything on the consoles so they won't give them a break just because its an mmo from that process they make it have to go through the hard route. PC basically gets the benefits of not having to go through that. This is the main reason why Consoles will always get major updates 2 weeks later possibly with some mmos two three or four months later. Also not sure about this but consoles possibly require payment for each patch possibly costing them a lot of money to do basically its expensive. Its much cheaper only give consoles fixes all merged together in one monthy update while giving like three patches for pcs. Then merging all the pc patch fixes together for consoles.
I am not sure if microsoft still does this but for every patch they do, it would cost them 40k after the first one. So yeah having to pay 40k can really limit what they can do with bug fixes.
