I'm only using it now for the double XP. If double XP stays (which, of course it's only wishful thinking) with it after this festival ends, I would then continue to use it.

These should've both been at least purchasable polymorphs or costumes, much like there's been related content in previous events and DLC updates. I mean they're giving Zombie Horses, Pumpkin elementals and Scarecrow Spectres at Halloween and now a Werewolf Lord morph as well. Why can't we get a Witch outfit or a spooky skeleton?

DB has a very similar polymorph quest reward that doesn't need to be refreshed every 2 hours.

That doesn't include the original polymorph that has been a quest reward since the game was launched. It is a skeleton also.

I think it should stay as an option for those that want it.

That said, I hope ZOS never ever ever does an event this way again, I'm tired of everybody looking exactly the same. Cake didn't override our character's appearance, and that was a good thing.

The original one is a naked skelly, it feels both silly, fun but impersonal. The DB one is a step in the right direction. Unfortunately it does not use a full robe and its shoulders aren't covered either, whereas the current event morph has both a full length robe, covered shoulders and a worn but detailed look. It's great for what it is!

I just want a dark robed and hooded skeletal appearance for my magicka class!

Care at all to elaborate why you'd be against earning an additional polymorph or for others to have more diversity and options available to them? :[

The original one doesn't have Khajiit and Argonian variations, too.

And none of them have tusks when used by Orcs :disappointed:
Just so that everyone knows, my Altmer still can't have black hair. About a dozen of Altmer NPCs in the game have black hair. Just saying.

    Meet my characters:

    Command: Do the thing.

Zadarri, Khajiit Fist of Thalmor: The thing was done, as commanded.
Durza gra-Maghul, Orc blacksmith: The thing was done perfectly, in the most efficient way.
Tegwen, Bosmer troublemaker: You can't prove I didn't do the thing.
Sings-Many-Songs, Argonian fisher: Sure, I'll do the thing... Eventually. Maybe.
Aerindel, Altmer stormcaller: After extensive research, I've come to the conclusion that doing the thing would be a waste of resources.
Liliel, Dunmer pyromancer: Aerindel said I shouldn't do the thing. Something about "resources".
Gyda Snowcaller, Nord cryomancer: I will find a way to do it that won't waste resources and make Aerindel proud of me.
Beatrice Leoriane, Breton vampire: I persuaded someone else into doing the thing. You are welcome, dear.
Sahima, Redguard performer: Doing the thing sounds awfully unpleasant and really not my problem.
Ellaria Valerius, Imperial priestess: I'll pray to the Eight for the thing to be done, if it is Their will.

Well I can't speak for him, but if I may say so myself.

Because it's ridiculous for everyone to be running around a skeleton for all time. Why you ask? Because it makes no sense LORE wise. And lore matters a lot to elder scrolls fans, it would just make things look all wrong and frankly stupid.

Also not to mention it completely cheapens the event, it's nice to have special events where you can use the skeleton form, but it will soon become tedious to all if you can just do it all the time.

I suspect it was the younger players who seem so keen to keep it forever, children do love their toys ;)

We're way past such sentiments, we have giant cats, wolves, lizards of all sorts of sparkly, shiny colours riding around human cities. Atronarch horses, fiery nightmares and a bunch of silly, goofy Pokémon pets and other costumes.
There's already 2 skeletal skins, one of which is available to everyone. That doesn't mean everyone's gonna run around like one. Much like the reason people are running around is because a buff is attached to it, 100 % more exp and loot skulls.
Cheapens the event? It's not much of an event in the first place, bring guts, a pumpkin and some random item to an NPC who has three voice lines and get a buff. Proceed to camp a delve boss for 100+ kills. Event is over.

And come on now, calling out people derogatorily to be underaged because they have a different desire to yours or care about cosmetics is quite an immature thing to do. Be better, vote keep polymorph!

Well that is just my opinion. And it seems you won't get to use it all year round. Not like it's a huge deal anyway really. I would not be upset about such a trivial thing either way. But you asked for opinions and you got mine. :)

As for my comment about the toys, it was meant tongue in cheek. *rolls eyes*

It's cool looking, and fine for any future halloween event. But lore wise it makes no sense for everyone to be running around as a skeleton. Which is my I voted the way I did. But I'm all for keeping the whistle as a memento.

Also as a side note, perhaps for the next halloween event next year they could add a new whistle which turns players into something else, that way only players who were around for the first event get to turn into a skeleton, as well the new transformation. That way it could encourage more players to partake in the events and build up a cool collection of whistles that turn you into different things.

    ^ This!

And I agree... It would be nice that if next year (and subsequent years) they have other whistles (with associated morphs) and during the event ZOS could just "activate all whistles". The longer a player has been around the more choices of poly-morphs they'll have to choose from to play with during the event. New players would play as "that years" morph and older players could pick and choose from whatever whistles they've collected over the years.

This would alleviate the "skeletons everywhere" problem, while giving long term players collectibles that would be more special the longer away it is used from the event it was gained in.

Did the creators of this "festival" did not understand that it's stupid, at least? Not to mention the fact that it's ugly, disgusting and repulsive.
