VMA Help, which class works best for VMA?

Hey I wanted to start running VMA but I don't know which class would be best for it yet. So out of the options below what class would work out the best. I'm adding the 3rd option of a MagSorc. The toon isn't fully leveled yet but if it's my best option then I can probably grind him from lvl 38 to 50 in a day. I also am CP335.

Stamina sorc 5 VO 5 NMG 2 Monster set pieces (preffered skoria), For low cp characters I foud this build the best. Why skoria? With low hp because of cp's additional health from 1 pieces is great and all Your dmg skills are dot's so skoria procs often and hits up to 14k which is nice and also skoria cant miss or be triggered when You're back to the enemie like velidreth sometimes happen to do. Must have for this build is Vicious Ophidian. This set makes vMA easy mode - minor slayer makes dmg very good , additional movement speed takes away need to have any gap closer and stamina cost reduction+stamina restored for each kill allows to have unlimited resources. NMG+VO both have 2x crit bonus add 2x sharpened daggers to this and You have more then 80% crit which makes You critical surge proccing each second and almost always heal is on crit which means ~5k heal per sec without vigor.

I would say the class that you are most familiar with would be the easiest, although some classes are going to be harder than others. My impressions from trying a few classes:

• Magplar - My main and the one I still find the easiest to run VMA with.
• Stam Sorc - I have been playing this the most lately and can see the potential. Was harder at first than my Magplar but now is on par and I can see it soon being better.
• Mag Sorc - Was very hard at first even with powerful Overload mode but mainly because I haven't played her much lately.
• Magblade - Got stuck on round 5 mainly because I haven't played him in over a year so my rotation/skills were way off.

Skoria isn't preferred. Velidreth is.

Play the class you know best. There is no such thing as a perfect class for doing vMA although everyone screams stamina sorcerers. Stamina sorcerers (and other stam builds for that matter) are only great if you have top notch gear, but if its your first time trying vMA magicka builds are all much much easier (even if you have top notch stam gear). TBH even in terms of scores, magicka and stamina classes are all the same.

Ok I'm came with leveling a Stam Sorc, I'm assuming khajiit is the best race?

I will try it on my Stamina DK all crafted gear 2H+Bow once I buy the DLC. Is that hard mode?

Khajiit, Redguard, Imperial all work great.

The correct answer is, "whatever class you are most comfortable with". But to address some specifics:

• 2H is usually not very good for vMA.
• While TBS is BiS for 12-man trials, it is a very poor choice for solo content. The main upside to TBS is that it grants a health bonus, but you could get the same by swapping a jewelry piece to healthy or changing the enchant on a piece of armor.

vMA was designed for cp 300 (f i recall correctly), so you have 261 extra cps in use = how can it be hardmode ?
And it was released about a year ago ... can't see the challenge really

Well, I'm not a very skilled DD, as I've mostly tanked on my main. I've run most 4 man content as DD at least once, save the SotH vet dungeons and VDSA, with speed runs on IC dungeons. He has 2H, Bow, MA and FG fully specced though. I want to try him first because I know him best. But since I've seen that AoE is needed, I will also spec 2W before I attempt it. It's only 22 skill points and those are obtainable in the other DLCs. I will buy the whole discount pack soon.

Strong defensively and offensively
If you're struggling with vMA this is the easiest class to run it with IMO

Do Stam Sorcs need Vigor to get through VMSA? Or are the passive heal from Critical Surge and active heal from Dark Deal enough to get by?

if you dont learn the damn thing first you'll never complete it on any class, period. There are enough stamsorc and magsorcs on forums and reddit who cant complete it at max cp and decent gear.

stam sorc is only faceroll once you have completed the arena once or twice.

It's enough if you know what you're doing but vigor is highly recommended

My first time beating maelstrom was without vigor. Just remember to keep atleast a DoT up all all times.

(also note if your internet is NOT 100% this will also play a part with my decision stating magicka is the better way)

However - I understand this is not a post to OBTAIN Flawless - it's just completion I get that but this is my personal knowledge with months of fine tuning.

Flawless 51 times Magicka - Sorc - estimated
Flawless 0 times Stam - Sorc

Let me explain why.

If you FAIL to re-apply critical surge on STAM you're dead that simple.

If you FAIL to re-apply power surge on a MAGICKA sorc

"oh... no drama fellas harden ward. Flip bar - 18k shield - yay whoopsie."

Don't get me wrong I have BIS for both and magicka is the way to go starting out hands down it's the easiest (whoopsie) class to get this one on, STAM hits MUCH HARDER but it allows for general mistakes.

Go Magicka I strong heartily believe you're getting lead down the wrong path.
