Anyone wish we could change appearence of items (glamour)?

Anyone else wish there was a way to change the appearence of your equipped armor, other then using a costume?

I wish we could have functions in other mmo's where you can get your current item to take the look/style of whatever other item you have into another look/style.
the caveat would probably be that you have to own the crafting recipe or an item of similiar kind but in the style you want to change into.

Oh Hell, ya. We beg for it every so often, they tell us they have no plans, yada, yada.

Basically costumes are where it's at, since most armor after level 24 looks like garbage with the flaps and floating hip thingies.

They've even gone back and added them to armors that didn't originally have them (ancient orc) , which to me is just trolling us. We're lucky they haven't gone back and glued some big ugly tassets on the level 1-24 armors that don't have them.

If you have the imperial edition you can convert to imperial style but I do understand what you mean

Only everyone pretty much. Not sure why it is so difficult for ZOS to add since they already have the tech (convert to imperial).

I really don't understand their reticence to this. I love the look of some light and medium styles but I'm stuck with other weights because of the requirements of my toon. Real shame.

At this point just give us a cosmestic tab to put other gear of the same weight over it aka every vanity tab mmo in history... add it to eso plus to make it profitable or sell it as a crown tab unlock like adding another slot so friggan easy would give motifs new Life

We do not need more eso plus exclusives.

When we get armor sets, the skin could be unlocked so it can be worn over the top of whichever set you're wearing at the time. Same with weapons. All the armor & weapon skins store in the same place as polymorphs and costumes by adding in a wardrobe.

They will not do that. They are planning to sell those armors as costumes I already seeing Akaviri style armors being one of those crown store items in datamined.

I think it's something they might do. With all the dropped gear sets in One Tamriel crafted gear will become less relevant and therefore motifs will be less valuable even redundant. So they could add an appearance tab allowing you to craft a set with a motif purely for cosmetic purposes or alternatively have a method of converting an existing item.

I mean why spend $50 on a motif or spend hours grinding the pages if the build you want to run doesn't use a crafted set?

If I've learned one thing about MMO's over the last 5 years people love to customize their look. Costumes are nice but they keep removing them from the store can only be dyed by ESO+ members and your're limited to a fixed outfit, not really the level of customization people who are into fine tuning a look want.
