    Serious tho, you should take the forum a little bit more seriously. If you want to address something you should do it in a rich and elaborated way that people would buy your idea out.

    Right now you sound like a 12yo that can't learn animation cancelling.

    Actually if you did your research you would have known it was an unintended feature that was later embraced as part of the combat system.

    They didn't say it was intended, they just can't 'fix' it so rather than put up with 1000s of support tickets a day about the issue they just say it isn't an exploit.

    My personal opinion on it is that it's unfair and damages the game for those that don't follow the meta,

    I thought they said it was part of the game. Either way people complained about it and now I can't even light attack with my destro staff, and the people who complained are still getting killed

    Unless Devs said something different this past week they have never said animation canceling was intended at launch.

    What they have said is they like it. It's here to stay.

    In conclusion, it was not intended but it is now officially blessed as appropriate.

    Everything I've ever heard from ZOS about animation canceling has always been that it is unintended but they like it anyway, and that even if they didn't it would be very complex to try to remove it.

    So to OP:

    Say you're in the middle of a wrecking blow, or a snipe, or any attack that has a casting time and you see the circle for meteor. You gotta cancel what you were doing and get your block up *pronto*. Or dodge. Or switch bars to grab aggro or heal or purge or x / y / z.

    They could make it so when you hit the button the character goes through the whole action before accepting new input from you... But then nobody would use any of the longer channel / cast time abilities because they would be a sitting duck for the entire time. So zeni took a middle path. Make sure some segment of animation was always shown, but preserve the ability of people to react to changing combat conditions.

    No it wouldn't break it the ability to dodge or block.. if what they did was make it when you do dodge or block that it stops the damage from what ever you were doing from applying..

    Such as you are using wrecking blow, you block before animation is complete then you do no damage from the wreaking blow.. that resources and damage are only used at the end of the animation instead of the start of it.

    Anyone who thinks AC isn't fair obviously doesn't know what YouTube is where you can learn to do it yourself. People act like it's some super hidden secret that only a select handful of people and streamers know how to do when in reality there are ways to learn to do it yourself. If you don't have the skill to do it, that doesn't mean it isn't fair, It just means you're not good at it.

    It indeed causes lag.
    It indeed is something that doesn't feel like it's intended (to me at least).
    It does however also increase skill cap and allows some pretty ridiculously cool moves.

    Conclusion? Yea, they should look into it, so it feels a bit better and stops causing lag. (Using frags with a-cancel causes ridiculous enemy behavior)

    EDIT: And please stop bashing people who feel animation canceling is "cheap" or sth. It's a somewhat weird mechanic and easy to dislike.

    It wasnt originally intended but let's look at the stronger point... They tried to balance animation cancelling in Update 9 or 10. That isn't just acceptance, but a full embrace and bring into the fold of animation canceling.

    Whinning that it wasn't intended and should be removed now is like saying Borderlands cell shaded art style wasn't the original design and should go back to what it originally was even though they changed it to differentiate itself from Skyrim.

    Sometimes changes happen, and sometimes those started as happy accidents. Its the story for teflon and most of the pictures Bob Ross the happy painter ever painted.

    reminds me of a EP player who whined that I couldn't beat him if I didn't use animation cancelling and that I was exploiting.. man that was so funny because I remember replying "Waa waa Maxwell killed me with animation cancelling waaa" in order to make him feel better :).

    Animation cancelling does not cause lag. That's a period at the end.

    I've had some really weird bugs when using crystal shards and trying to do animation canceling with either heavy or light attacks, while using S&B. It's really bad with light attacks.

    You should elaborate what you think animation cancelling is. Some people think weaving light attacks between skills is animation cancelling. If that's what you're talking about, the enchant on my vMA inferno staff says it's intended. Practice it, embrace it. As far as block cancelling, or dodge rolling, the game would break without those animation priorities. You would die MORE often if you can't override whatever animation you're in when you need to block or roll. Stop whining about things. If people spent half the amount of time practicing something in game as they do whining in the forums, they might learn a few things and actually make their characters better. Stop begging for nerfs or massive core game changes that the devs aren't going to do, and don't need to do. Git gud. There I'm one of those people now. See what you've done OP? Rant over.

    They have commented on it before. It was NOT intended, but they are "happy" with it. The reality is that it allows for a layer of skill that makes the game interesting. They have also balanced all PVE content for the last 2 years around weaving. It is 100% required in PVE, and you are doing yourself a disservice if you dont do it PVP.

    I suspect you have a low ping . Try doing it with a 250+ ping that many have to play with and if you can succesfully do it then you definitely have skill. Otherwise you essentially have an exploit that others cannot use.
