Yep, that's clearly P2W. Everyone in Cyrodiil will now look in awe at the players wearing that new motif, who then, taking advantage of the distraction, proceed to thoroughly farm their AP. Really shameful, even worse than Velidreth & Viper stamina builds and Scourge Harvester magplars

XP does not fall under the scope of this discussion. They are saying that Crafted Items, that Boost Stats, and actually affect your characters play, will always be better.

Faster XP affects your characters play because it makes you gain XP and CP faster than without it. Denying this is just silly.

However, whether increased XP gain is actually a problem is a different discussion, but let's stop pretending like it doesn't have any effect.

At the end of the day there is still an XP cap in the form of max CP level. You're paying to progress faster, just like ALL the people who have eso +. That's been around since console launch. Your point may be valid but it's been around well over a year now. Little late to bring that up in an discussion.

Still stands this thread was created because it was pay 2 win apparently, that's changed now to pay to progress.... faster. Where was the uproar and pitchforks and rioters when eso+ was discussed?

It is not pay to win item because everything is does is shortening the time needed to grind up max CP. Another example is Riding Lesson in Crown Store - same story, shortening the time needed to level up the horse.

What would be a pay to win item?

• Scroll that gives you + 10k all stats/increases speed/gives immunity to stun etc.
• Scroll that boosts your loot chances significantly(like from 1% chance to drop to 10% chance to drop an item)
• Scroll that gives you boost to damage/healing
• Box with overpowered gear(chest, head, weapon etc.)
• Box with gold
• Poly-morph that shrinks you or makes you hardly seen - something like Kallopi disguise

I know there might be some other examples but I don't have time to think about it and list them.

I would p2w at Vmol or even p2p Vmol maybe a patch for Xbox so we can have more than 4 people at the boss. I'd pay for a crown disconnect stabilizer that would stop the game from dcing me and telling me I don't have Internet. Maybe include those in tamriel one.

Crown covenience has been a thing and has allways been a thing. The only people who -use- the crown scrolls are usually the people who grind who purposefully put the game aside in order to hit endgame. Their only of a benefit to grinders, and that's usually not the majority of the playerbase, it's not been viable for a long time.

But you know what? This game will survive it. It is not the end of the world anymore than the crown crates are. And while the crown crates are detestable, their not worldending. Not yet.

When they start giving valuable tempers and comodities, then you will be justified in leting loose your bowels and screeching like a pack of birds, but it has not happened yet and you are not justified yet.

I was here when they assured us that they would NEVER put any consumables in the crown store that are better than what you can craft. I heard it with my own ears. That is a promise, or giving a community your word. Same thing. They made that promise because the community was up in arms over the crown store potions. They assured us a million times that they would not do what they are doing right now.
I think Horse training is BS too. We all had to "do the content" to level our horses. I'm surprised they don't sell crafting levels or Trait knowledge so you can avoid that pesky research and decon BS that so many of us endured. They'll sell motifs you don't need to collect. They might as well sell gold, right?
The point is when ZOS starts selling level 50 characters and then CP packs people will say "so what you can grind out CP with XP pots, scrolls, ..."

WIth the scroll you just level up faster, thing really useless in One Tamriel. So what's the problem?

Yeah...

Most PvE areas - Alliance Zones, Craglorn, even some DLC arease - are devoid of players because ATM there is nothing to do there after you finish the main/side quests there, gather the shards and the books. That's why people just run them once on each character tops, then don't bother with them. Add to that the fact that the drops and materials are mostly useless once you outleveled them. The population in "gold" and "silver" is very thin, maybe a few dozen people spread over each zone at one time so adding that to the population in the "main" zone won't raise it that much in any case. And the fixed resources for keeping a mostly empty instance could be used more effectively in boosting the performance of others.

ZoS realized the flaws of the current model and decided to implement One Tamriel:
- quests and NPCs everywhere scale to your level, so it makes sense to go back in that area for the XP
- resource nodes also scale to your level/crafting passives, so going back there you won't encounter that useless iron or jute any longer
- they introduced overland sets some of which are actually good, and that scale to your level, so there is actually a valid reason for people to go into the wilderness and kill stuff, like the world bosses
- you can group with characters from different alliances everywhere, like you could do only in dungeons before

I really don't understand why people are so bothered by the changes. Probably only the thought they'll be breaking old habits.

I've indeed seen a dip in people online earlier this year because most went to vacation during the summer. Now the weather is bad again, they will go play again. No more lag/DC free Mournhold
