BUG - Power lash applying CC immunity W/ video

Just a little bug I found when dueling, I thought people kept using immovability potions but it turns out when you activate power lash it gives players CC immunity despite it not being a CC.

Fix this ZOS.

EDIT: Apparently power lash is supposed to stun so it is a CC, BUT it is not stuning enemies, so it is still bugged.

    Magicka Sorc is fine. No buffs needed.

    My Pets are so strong they hit every couple seconds for what my Dual Wield light attacks strike for! Almost OP!

    Of course there is the ever-so slight issue of Pets not following you, or their AI getting confused, or them getting stuck, which results in them doing 0DPS..... but they are so powerful normally that it's totally forgiveable.

    (I make fun out of the situation, because I legitimately believe ZOS is too ignorant of class balance to know Pet Sorcs are absolutely atrocious, despite the fantastic threads in the past on it)

    Okay you're actually right. However, it isn't applying the stun, it's still bugged. I edited it into OP, thanks for catching that.

    Actually it did in the past, they removed it against players, but buffed the healing part of Power Lash.

    @SRIBES If You use taloons You immobilize target. When You hit immobilized target with lash he gets off ballance that allows You to hit him with 2nd free lash , but when off ballance ends target gets cc Immunity. No bug here. Without CC immunity You would be able to spam off ballance and the stun on target over and over.

    Perhaps ZoS intentionally did this.

    It's been forever since it was a good ability and I used it, but I recall this didn't used to have a cooldown (i.e. a it would proc whenever a target was cc/immobilized).

    Then all of a sudden it would only proc once against eligible targets. Maybe ZoS in its infinite wisdom decided the way to make it such this proc would only proc once in 5 seconds was to grant a CC immunity to it, thus making it so the target would be ineligible once hit by it.

    Or maybe ZoS just hates DKs.
    Make Rush of Agony "Monsters only." People should not be consecutively crowd controlled in a PvP setting. Period.

    What happens if they have cc immunity from a source that isn't whip? Say you fossilize them and let them break it, granting them cc immunity. Will it let you talons>whip>power lash? Or is it just talons>whip>whip? Either way, lash doesn't give immunity on live. I'm almost positive of that. Also, @SRIBES did you try to fossilize him after the power lash? Maybe the immunity is just a visual bug?

    I don't think that's entirely true. Right now on live, I can set somone off balance with shattering rocks and power lash. Them immediately talons, whip, and power lash again. Off balance definitely doesn't grant cc immunity.

    Yes I tried to fossilize and drain him after the power lash and it wouldn't let me and he could freely move around. There is no CC. And it's talons, whip, power lash

    So you can cc them, then get power lash, but you can't power lash then cc them? Hopefully a bug..

    I wonder if this was their attempt to prevent off balance latching, such as with lit staffs. Where you can hit powerlash 4x in a row. Maybe they added 5 sec of off balance immunity and that is bleeding over into CC. If so I am amazed that they would fix that based on light forum mention and yet still do nothing to fix the mDK itself. In this game expect Random Showers of Development. I shouldn't have ever mentioned it on the forums or the lit heavy attacks that just got nerfed. If thats is true then I am deeply disgusted by thier time management and prioritisation.

    Lit staffs and off balance is a priority, meanwhile mDK is a smoldering pile that won't be addressed until much later. Incredible.

    well on the tooltip is says you also set them off balance and then the 2nd whips stuns them for 2 secs so pretty sure a stun is a cc? the fossilize tooltip says stun and so does stones fist say a stun so is it not supposed to do that?
    whips toolti- Lash an enemy with flame, dealing [x] Flame Damage.
    If you strike an enemy that is immobilized or stunned, you also set them off balance. You can only set an enemy off balance once every 5 seconds.
    Targeting an off balance enemy changes this ability into Power Lash, allowing you to lash an enemy with more intense flame to deal [y] Flame Damage and (STUN) them for 2 seconds. You also heal for [z] over 2 seconds.
    Fossilize tooltip- Encase an enemy in stone, (STUNNING) them for 20 seconds. When the effect ends, enemies take [x] Magic Damage and remain rooted for 3 seconds.
    Affected enemies can take [y] damage before the stun is broken.
    =ah so yeah dont they need to add the cc part?

    It doesn't stun players. Only npc's. It's been like that since I can remember.

    Thanks for the bug report on Power Lash. The video you included was especially helpful. We have a fix planned for this ability in a future PTS incremental patch.

    After the fix is deployed, Power Lash will match its current behavior on the Live servers - it will stun monsters (and grant them CC-immunity), but will not stun players (nor grant them CC-immunity). The tooltip of this ability will be updated to better reflect this functionality.
