The harder to challenge, the sweeter the victory. I enjoy a good scuffle against opponents especially when it comes down to player skill to determine the outcome. Defeating other players in a matter of seconds is not enjoyable for both sides, as it will make the game go stale / boring pretty quickly and drive people to find alternatives (other content or even perhaps other games).

They've nerfed so many things in this game that its become too easy at times (PVE group dungeons for example). I understand that people want to win, but crying for nerf whenever we find it takes effort or when it is not to our liking, is questionable in my opinion.

Theorycrafting the right build for your playstyle, adapting to counter other playstyles through gear and skill customization, that's what is unique and keeps players coming back to ESO.

I also understand that shorter or longer engagements are subject to personal preference. In a fast paced world as today, I notice some individuals demand for instant (or almost instant) results without having the tenacity and patience that is often needed in many aspects of life. But ask yourself this, if a game is too easy, would you bother playing after awhile and thinking about it when you aren't ?

There is nothing wrong with wanting to instakill other players but as another have said, games like Call Of Duty might be better suited for such personalities. Calling others garbage / scrubs or making personal attacks against those who do not agree with you should be discouraged as this is an MMO. Differing opinions and preferences will always occur in an MMO environment. Are you going to call names and make personal attacks to every single forum poster who does not agree with you? I humbly suggest you do not, as it will eventually lead to rather unpleasant feelings for many (including yourself).

I hope my opinions did not come across the wrong way, it was never meant to offend in any way at all. If it did, I do apologize beforehand. We as a community need to discuss in a constructive and civil manner if we are to make progress and grow together.

For those wondering, my gankblade is 7/7 medium armor and my defensive dk is 7/7 heavy armor and I enjoy playing them equally. For once in 2+ years, heavy armor is again desirable (ZOS has stated recently that all three armor types must be desirable). My gankblade finds it more challenging to defeat HA users but they are definitely killable 1 v 1 (without Viper + Velidreth if I may add). My HA dk for once, is able to survive gank bursts and engage them in a fair fight face to face.

Has balance been achieved? Many will agree that it has not and may never be achieved due to the numerous factors at play. But at least we are taking steps in that direction, it will take time and once again, patience. I have faith that ZOS will do everything that it can to improve the game.

Sorry for the wall of text, wish you all a pleasant day ahead. Cheers.

1vX and gankers here again to complain about targets wearing heavy armor. I'm shocked.

Tank builds in PvP make for poor gameplay. It's not fun. It turns fights into real drudgery. It's like football before the forward pass. People want fast action, exciting gameplay, not trolly tank builds and super defensive playstyles.

I'm sure people enjoy their buff and shield cycles while they passively tag everyone and get AP for doing nothing. It's a no-risk endeavor. The game shouldn't have crap like this.
Exciting gameplay is oneshot setprocs i guess?
I love playing tanky build just because i feel awesome when people in oneshotsetproc build figures out that they didn't get even half of my health with they're 'exciting fun supapupa 100% AP guarantee combo' and then starts to show how they actually lame in pvp.

    Don't talk for people.

Never ending fight via people who have no damage and think building for 40k hp and 40k armour and doing 2k dizzying is fun.

I'd prefer to be ganked to be honest.

Though now days all the top tier dd still use heavy.

You can choose not to pay attention to such builds. Tanky isn't worthless in my case.

I mainly played 1L/1M/5H S&B on both bars Tank for a long time on my stamina DK - was hybrid build at the beginning but switched to full stamina when I got tri-glyphs on all gear. In some dungeons I lately run 1L/5M/1H with S&B on main bar and 2H on back bar and only switch to full tanking setup for the harder bosses. I'm sick and tired of playing heavy armor tank because killing stuff in that setup takes ages.

When I entered Cyrodiil a few months back I was ganked at the first quest hub by a NB. I fought the dude for 2-3 minutes, with balance swinging both sides. I almost got him a few times. He eventually ran off. But that fight made me realize that I was getting nowhere as tank, so I went and grabbed all sky shards in Cyrodiil and Imperial City, specced medium armor and 2H skill lines (were already at 50) and trained the skills. Bow was already fully trained and specced.

Since then I've never worn heavy armor in Cyrodiil. I prefer playing as bursty 1L/5M/1H 2H/Bow full DD. My stats are 10K max magicka | 24K max health | 32.5 max stamina | 1.6K stamina regeneration | 4K weapon damage | 50% weapon critical (buffed, on 2H bar). I rarely get killed by tanks but I die quite easily to burst NBs and stamina sorcs. But in return I get much more kills than I would as a tank. The cost of dying in PvP is 0 so I really don't mind. I just res or get resurrected and get back at it.
