Would you be willing to pay a monthly sub for a 1.5 server?

So it seems like a pretty popular opinion among PC players here on the forums that they would like to see a pre 1.6 server return in some shape or form whether that be a server with no cp, soft caps, and dynamic ult or a direct copy of the 1.5 patch that gradually gets changed over time, similar to the old school RuneScape server where they made a server that was running an update from 2007 and over time have tweaked things from there. Leave some ideas on what they could keep and what they could change from 1.5

i would happily pay a sub for 1.5 .. that was by far the best pvp ive had in ESO. Fix a few of the major bugs about 1.5 and it was hands down as solid of a pvp experience as you can get in ESO.

Yea as I said it doesn't have to be an exact copy and they can tweak the game as time goes on.

I'd pay monthly and play on a 1.5 sever here and there. My desire to return to 1.5 ESO was strongest between 1.7 and 1.9, the worst set of patches in ESO history by a long-shot.

I do however enjoy DB & SoTH enough to continue playing the game for a bit before I get bored. I miss my ghetto stamnb build from 1.5, before stamina became really mainstream.

If we took the stamina balancing from 1.6 combined with the soft caps and dynamic ultigen of 1.5, I'd be down.

I want ZOS to fix the balance issues and find the happy 'ish' medium ground.

Stamina and Magicka builds should be roughly equal, all things being considered. Classes like mDK shouldn't be penalized excessively for early dominance. It's ZOS's fault that they were so strong early, and it's ZOS's prerogative to provide a fun play experience to those customers as well as the Stamplars and the Mag NBs and everything else.

I would not want to give them an extra dime for someone else's rose tinted version of 'the best time'. You can't 'make eso great again' because it never was great to begin with. It's been dogged with balance problems. Look to the future, not the past, to correct this.

Valid point but I feel like the game was much easier to balance back then with soft caps. A slight tweak to stamina and it would have been pretty close to perfect imo. And it would be way closer to balanced even if they literally just patched the 1.5 update and didn't do anything to it than live is right now.

First balance issue they'd have to fix on a 1.5 server would be whips going through dodge. That *** made like 50% of the known pre-buff stam players swap, those poor gimped souls.

I want a private server run by different developers haha. Just get 1.5 patch and then add only the good things from the patches after that - with some minor tweaks and bug fixes.

None of the above, because none of the above will every be a reality, I guess it is ok to dream, but we all know that ZOS would never use resources for anything like that. After hearing Lambert talk at the pvp roundtable we can kiss any hopes for soft caps goodbye they will never make a come back the dude is clueless about combat and his own game. /sigh

Too many COD kids playing now that want burst, burst and more burst and would not be able to handle only having 700 regen softcapped.

have fun with 99999+ ping, creating threads about that 24-man-group who stacks negates (1.5 mechanics were that one negate can be used to remove one enemy negate. to remove two stacked ones, you'd need 2. no reactions/counters/etc required. just more wins) and that every solo player is a dk and that stamina is useless as a whole.

oh, and don't forget skoria hitting about twice as bad as today's velidreth, broken syrabane, thunderous plate, and twin sisters.

what you desire isn't 1.5, it is to abuse broken mechanics to solo win fights against 20+ randoms. not because you're actually better, but because you spend all day on youtube/forums and have knowledge about broken stuff that casuals don't have

I was massively more powerful in 1.6, had high burst damage, very high mobility and not much of a weakness. Whereas in 1.5, I was actually very squishy, had trouble with even a single DK and my build made me pretty much useless outside of groups.
1.6 offered the freedom to roam the map at high speed and do 1v5-10 fights along the way, which I have to admit felt awesome, but I'd still prefer 1.5. Resource management combat with dynamic ult gen just took way more skill, instead of just a minimum to stay alive or even worse, kill anyone in an instant. Also, every class had a purpose, without one being inherently better than the other.

1.5 actually had viable Hybrid Builds. Hybrid Templars and Hybrid Sorcs were very very strong. All 1.5 needed was a few bug fixes and maybe reducing the cost of some stamina skills, but other then that it would have been a much better game overall.

My Bowplar(Yes a Templar who used both Bow and Arrow and Dawn's Wrath abilties without being gimped wearing mostly medium armor and using a two handed sword) wrecked in 1.4 and 1.5 and was one of the most fun class specs i ever played and 1.6 completely killed hybrids builds all together.....The lack of caps and viable hybrid build game play is a big reason for the imbalance issues in the game and the pigeonholing everyone into stam or magic only which is a polarization of the game.

1.5 and earlier you could almost play whatever you wanted as Hybrids were very very tough and competitive and was very much TES, the current game is very anti-TES as it pigeon holes you into 1 way to play(ASll stam or all magic) and nothing else is viable...

Do you realize in 1.5 and earlier you had Sorcs like Rhin STC running around as Khajiits Hybrid Sorcs using

Wearing Meduim Armor and it was VIABLE. It was EVERY BIT as good as Magic Sorc He was a multi-time Emp and ran around most alone or with 2-3 people.

Thats just one of many examples folks simply don't get it...you had 5 times as many build options back then compared to now..You were not pigeonholed into one specific role(all magicka or all stam) playing Stam simply meant putting a few weapon skills on your bar and using magic skills you liked...you could easily get both your weapon and spell damage values to the cap which meant you were not disadvantaged using stam skills on a magic toon and vice versa.

All they had to do was fix the lag, adjust DK, and maybe cheapen Stam abilties slightly and 1.5 would be a much better game then what we have now with the over inflated power creep that is the CP system and the Battle Spirit band-aid nerfs that are just putting lipstick on a pig.
