So moar furries eh?
I say add another continent so we can have some different tastes. Like Maormer or Akaviri Add near the Imperial selection. So they can select which alliance they can belong.

Yes, my brother would love that, and yes - he is a furry fan. He'd live and breathe that place lol. I'd stay away from it like the plague. I am not keen on beast races in the lore personally. Men, orcs and multi-coloured elves are more than enough for me. But something tells me one of the lore-writers in TES definitely has a furry fetish going on.

You do know that Anthropomorphic Animals has been a thing LONG before the term "Furry" was even coined, right? Humanizing animals goes way back into Ancient times, much of it Mythological.

Wasn't Tamriel supposed to be home to some ancient bird-based beast race, too, before the Merethic Era?
I thought there was a lore book in Skyrim (or ESO) that explained how early Altmer navigators discovered them in, of all places, central Cyrodiil, but that the species vanished not long afterward.
I wanna see a picture of them !

Even if they will come to eso in the form of some sort of story quest, a playable race they will never be, and it wouldn't make sense to have them as a playable race.
We've established that the lore wouldn't support them being a playable race, but that there's no reason for them to not exist as NPCs who escaped the Knahaten Flu. How about a Lilmothiit polymorph as a reward for the associated quest chain?

Lilmothiit are extinct, or so close to extinct that nobody has seen them since the Knahaten Flu incident.
How likely is ZOS (Bethesda) to break this lore fact? I think the chance is like 0,00000000001%
And how likely is it for ZOS to implement a new playable race based on an extict tribe? ^-^
None.

There's always going to be some derp asking for Dwarves, so, it'd never stop.
