So the doors for resource towers in Cyrodiil are removed now....... Was it really that hard to put up a few stone trebs and knock the tower down ? Was it really that hard ???

Zergs of 30-50 people can only deploy 2-3 trebs only, so i guess yes.

Inside but out side you can easily place 4 or 6 but all it takes is 2 or 3 trebs to knock down a tower. Like really it isn't the tower farmers fault any way it was the ...... less than the common IQ players who went inside despite knowing that there's a farm in the tower.

Again that's why you take the tower down and rain trebs and other siege inside the collapsed tower and turning the tables by snaring and rooting them at the door preventing them from leaving the red AoEs.

or you remove the possibility of exploiting a buggy door to your benefit by fixing the door. They can't so they removed the door.

To me I can see the "gitguds" really mad about this, but what does this change for you?

You are still going to be able to farm them, just like you can farm a breach, you just don't have the advantage of a half second they can't see or react to you.
Tl;dr really weigh the fun you have in game vs the business practices you are supporting.

And again you could already seige the tower down and not only remove the doors but also removed 2 other floors for them to retreat too making it easier to wipe the farmers.

    No more unburnable tent.
    No more power tower.
No more zerg who flew in a tower before getting whipped.
    That's a good thing.

Of course, they may also put an invincibility timer when you use a door (similar to those in IC), but I think it'll give more problem than solutions.

Impossible to do when people are taking the flag as your seiging. If you have to get your ap tower farming, now you have to do it from the top level. Door farming was pure cheese. As soon as you go through the door your having multiple people spamming attacks at you. People could farm to emperor just by farming.

Then those player deserve to die and to feed the farmers cause you have to be really dense not to see siege being set up and firing at the tower AND players screaming over and over again saying "don't take the flag" .

What was hard was getting everyone to not flip the flag so you could take the tower down. Personally i would of preferred there be a second flag inside the resource so you had to take the tower down to obtain the resource. Whats the point of having a tower you can siege down when no one ever does it?

This change is personally a good one in my opinion. People will still farm inside the tower and use more movement instead of just farming players at the door. What also is pretty cool is you can now tell your group to jump out and then you can go right back in the resource through the front-door.

So bad pvp resource farmers will be hurting from this change. Groups who are smart and know how to play as a team can still be effective with movement jumping in and out of the tower over and over again.

Great quality of life change for cryodill. B)B)B)

Yes it is gonna make getting farmers out alot easy that is true and is a good change don't let my past post say other wise but it just some players really couldn't use common sense and first wipe the guards and back up away from the flag siege the tower down kill them all and then take the flag.

Was a good move to remove doors, how many times were the resources taken before the tower was brought down, how many times was there yelling in chat to get off the flag and nobody did.

More than I like to admit which is where this thread is coming from that instead of learning to play the game and using strategy some players rather just whine and cry at ZoS till they change what they don't like or hate.

You gotta admit though, it was pretty cheese once a good raid was inside and farming. Glad its over. This change will create less lag and more open world fights since guilds gotta do something else now.

    You can't prevent that sadly.

I'm talking about the good raiding guilds (stack on crown groups) who would run between each enemy alliance and camp in Resources between usually 2 pug zergs assaulting/defending keeps. Now guilds will actually have to play the game instead of farming people who are not moving trying to get through a door.

A tower farm becomes successful if only 1 person takes the flag.

After only 1 person, the only counter to a tower farm is promptly taken away; no longer can people siege down the tower. And that's being conservative. Of course there will be at least a few people who just don't know or don't care who take the flag- that's what makes the tower farm so successful. The only way for you to now wipe that tower farm group is to wait for them to come spilling over and retake the resource, which a group of players is most definitely going to defend and more often than not wipe.

I'm all for strategy, but when it takes 1 person to allow a group to farm people in a tower, then either a new counter has to be made for tower farms, or tower farms should go. One is much easier than the other. I prefer strategy and counter strategy, but I haven't once heard of a single way to make a tower farm into a productive fight, anything other than mindlessly grinding AP.

So, to answer the OP, yes it really was that hard for every single person to remember to knock it down and not take the flag.

Of course some people are still on about Shield Breaker. It's a black-and-white counter that catered to those that wanted an easy solution "instead of learning to play the game and using strategy". Granted, barely anybody uses it anymore because it's just a waste of a 5th item slot compared to much better sets.

They should have put the flag in the Tower. That prevents Tower farming while simultaneously making Resource capture more interesting.

I've buyed my shieldbreaker yesterday Since i was not able to get it( i can't stand the farming) , and Yes is a crappy set.

On topic tower Doors only killed "new" or unskilled players but removibile them was the right thing to do.
Maybe i can finally become emperor....
