Would you like to swap your character builds on command.

I would really like it if we could swap our builds like we could swap our weapons. We could name them (ex. pvp build, stamina build, etc.) and switch them whenever we want to. But the builds should only be for skills and weapons, not attributes it would make the whole thing complicated. I know we have weapon swap but what if we want to change our entire build? I dont want to do it manually! So is this a good idea yes or no?
Edit: Yes I am a console player.

If it is for equip and skills, there are addons that do that quite fine. I use AlphaGear for that, there are others too.
I guess it could be useful for all that console players though to have an ingame option.
What I would still like is to have is Sets/Profiles of the CP distribution.

You must be on Console as PC already has Addons that do these. I use Wykkyd Outfitter to swap out my gear when not in combat. It makes it so easy to change from different sets with a single click. As for Skills, Swaps will let you save skill sets. With these two addons I can change out all my gear and skills with a few clicks.

I'm on PC and I use Wykkyd Outfitter addon combined with Wykkyd Macros to swap out my skills and gear by hitting 2 keys (1 is the key I assigned to the macro to select which Outfitter-saved gear set and which Outfitter-saved skill set I picked for that build, and the other is the weapon swap key to complete loading the skills on the second bar).

Other than my mini-map, this is the one addon that I get the most use out of. All of my max-level characters have 4-5 different builds (my magicka characters each have a DPS build, a tank build, a healer build, a stealth build, and a "training" build; my stamina characters each have a DPS build, a tank build, a stealth build, and a "training" build), and I swap between them very frequently. Obviously without my addons I wouldn't be able to do that on the fly so easily.

So for the benefit of console folks, I think it would be great if this was added into the game.

You want to guarantee everyone subscribes? Crafting bags were a good start, but offer dual spec (skills, attributes, and CP) and everyone and their mom will subscribe tomorrow.

Edit, as for what you are suggesting, I can do that with a press of a button with Alpha Gear. Also, for anyone still using Wykkyds, dressing room, whatever, Alpha Gear is far superior. I wont go back.

Back before 1.6 and CP, I was able to actually swap between a stam sorc and a sorc healer build with the push of a button. Back in the day, it was common logic to put all points into health, so it was really easy to swap between Magicka and stamina. There were also no stam morphs for class skills...the game has made a lot of improvements, but I miss those days...

Yeah, once again pc has these add ons that take care of the magic of switching between builds, and timers, and 'block now' warnings, and 'ultimate ready' advice, and damage logs, and more.

It really needs to be said, console playing is not really recognized as being the more difficult to use. We don't have those luxuries, until very recently we had to use a dungeon boss as a measuring stick and do math to guesstimate a dps value. Now with the scrolling text it's a matter of watching a recording and doing the math by hand. Without special gear there is no mapping 'break free' or an ultimate or a synergy to a single input - we have to properly mash the buttons in order to get what we want. To dodge roll, 3 inputs. 2 for the roll and the direction stick for which way.

And when we want to switch builds we do it by hand, and get irritated if something managed to end up in the bank. So let's make that another part of the base game.

No I would like to waste time changing my builds
From a PvP perspective, I hate the idea of people making on-the-fly changes to their gear for the sole purpose of hard-countering the situation.

Switching to shield breaker behind a tree when they run into a shield stacker.
Switching to Malubeth + Black Rose when a zerg shows up 100 feet away.
Switching to Sentry + magelight + lingering flare when you see someone stealth away in the distance.

The time "wasted" is a necessary buffer so the game doesn't turn into a Pokémon battle by swapping out to whatever gives the biggest advantage at that very moment. I know there are add-ons that can do this already but I look down on anybody that may use them in PvP. The same principal applies when duelling. If you have to change your build to tailor specifically to beating your opponent at that moment, then that ceases to be a simulation of a live setting.

HOWEVER, from a PvE perspective, yes please. Last night I went into vWGT ready with my DPS gear, but then I noticed I was the only one tagged as a tank and also the only one with 24k+ health, so I asked "I guess I'm tanking?" to which the answer was "yep". So I had to spend about 5 minutes going through my inventory and bars to equip all new things, because I've got about 5 or 6 different builds of various purposes sitting in my backpack.

For us PC players, most of our problems are solved with addons (Dressing Room is a lifesaver).

    But still!

I made a suggestion for ZOS to introduce new assistants when housing comes - let's call them Dressers.
Basically, they would simply open an UI that lets you instantly equip one or the gear you have stored on your mannequins in your house. They are still stored on your mannequins, and don't take place in your inventory.
This would also make it easier to equip multiple characters with the same set, without having the need to unequip, store to bank, withdraw then equip again for every character.

Heck, I would not mind if the assistant is 5000 Crowns, with additional 1000 Crowns for each mannequin, just MAKE IT HAPPEN!

No, I would like to have my choices have meaning.

    I play characters not builds.
Tenesi Faryon of Telvanni - Dunmer Sorceress who deliberately sought sacrifice into Cold Harbor to rescue her beloved.
Hisa Ni Caemaire - Altmer Sorceress, member of the Order Draconis and Adept of the House of Dibella.
Broken Branch Toothmaul - goblin (for my goblin characters, I use either orsimer or bosmer templates) Templar, member of the Order Draconis and persistently unskilled pickpocket
Mol gro Durga - Orsimer Socerer/Battlemage who died the first time when the Nibenay Valley chapterhouse of the Order Draconis was destroyed, then went back to Cold Harbor to rescue his second/partner who was still captive. He overestimated his resistance to the hopelessness of Oblivion, about to give up, and looked up to see the golden glow of atherius surrounding a beautiful young woman who extended her hand to him and said "I can help you". He carried Fianna Kingsley out of Cold Harbor on his shoulder. He carried Alvard Stower under one arm. He also irritated the Prophet who had intended the portal for only Mol and Lyris.
    ***
Order Draconis - well c'mon there has to be some explanation for all those dragon tattoos.
House of Dibella - If you have ever seen or read "Memoirs of a Geisha" that's just the beginning...
Nibenay Valley Chapterhouse - Where now stands only desolate ground and a dolmen there once was a thriving community supporting one of the major chapterhouses of the Order Draconis

You're right, it does go without saying because it's egotistical bullcrap.
