Buying back

If I accidently sell someting to merchant, how long its possible to buy it back? Does that list refresh in some amount of time? And is there any difference if ive sold stuff in different regions? For example if ive sold hat in area x merch, can I buy that item back from different merch in area y?

You can buy back the last 12 items that you vendored. If you don't vendor any additional items to push older items out of the buyback history, items can remain in the buyback indefinitely.
