Town PvP is Dying

    That is what I would like to see. It gives small scalers and AP farmers a reason to flip the towns. I doubt zergs would bother too much as they are usually too busy bouncing back and forth between inner keeps.

    When the IC matters folks can't commit everyone up top...holding IC MUST be made mandatory to win a campaign. This is how you alter game play and force these zergs to split.

    It's makes no sense the capital of Cyrodiil doesn't count at all towards the campaign.

    As awesome and logical as it sounds, there are technicalities which make it a bad idea. If the game was still p2p, that would be a great idea, and I always thought the same - after all, we are fighting for the control over IC. However, now that it's a b2p game you need to take into account that some people won't have the Imperial City DLC for whatever reason. But cyrodiil is announced as a base part of the game.

    So you can't really force people to buy the DLC if they just bought the game to fight mass pvp in cyro.

    Except essentially the PvE content functions this way. There are base game content trial, questlines and pledges. But in order to truly gain access to certain end game, it's locked behind a DLC. All of IC is already locked behind this door, the new dungeons are DLC only in a base game location, hews bane is locked etc. So the precedent is already completed, they just need to figure out a way to make it work.

    Sadly we will see battlegrounds first, and you'll have to pay to gain access to them, I guarantee it. Might as well have IC/cyro changes included for free to keep cyro populated.

    I actually had some really good solo PvP last night at the towns. Sure, when I went to cropsford to flip I got zerged down by EP, but I spent a lot of time in Vlastarus winning 1v1's and 1v2's on my sorc. Not the greatest PvP ever, and certainly too few and far between fights, but at least I got some fights where I wasn't getting zerged down. I feel like there are very few places I can go without getting zerged down.

    I would not be unhappy if towns turn into a quieter place where solo/duo/small group players can seek each other out.

    If one alliance owns a town they should get an army of Bruma Rangers. i believe we've all watched helplessly as a Bruma ranger ravaged our guards and went for that flag. :(

    enemy alliances wouldn't stand for that ***, and they'd have to go take Bruma :)

    So what? IT doesn't mean that it should be done to PvPers too. Besides, it's a bad analogy, because you don't have any emperorship for which you must complete all pve dungeons. When you play a game to play the dungeons - you get to play what you bought and don't have to buy more dungeons.

    Unless you want to make separate campaigns for subscribers and owners of certain DLCs, it's not a good idea to force Cyro large-scale pvp-ers who fight for emperorship and such to go to small-scale pvp IC (which they can zerg, so it's not like I want them there anyway - just remember how IC was the first week after release...).

    Remove the rng from the boxes
    Give us extra pvp kill/capture quests daily that have a chance of rewarding pve equivalent gear with the current reward drop list.

    Just move the % bonus to the 4th or 5th trait.

    VO/inflatable of cyrodiil, 5% damage to players
    Tank set, 5% damage reduction.


    You can buy gear outright in IC. Why not here?

    I can't stress it enough....town capturing is, well, pointless. At this point in time it's merely "cosmetic". "Oh look Bruma is red lets go make it blue." Yay! It's blue. Now what? Give me a reason to want to keep it my alliance color or don't make it an objective at all.

    What they actually need to do is make IC and villages mean a lot more to the over all campaign, something to spread us out somewhat.

    Maybe to take Emp you need to first (although not hold) IC as well.

    I'm just thinking out loud here, not considered it too much.

    Other than the occasional "learning experience" on how to avoid proxy bombs or getting lured into choke points I really enjoy the fights there. We're about 50/50 on our wins/loses. Defininately have seen an uptick in quality of play from even the more seasoned guilds this week.
