How hard is it? How long? If you had to compare its difficulty to say vWGT how much harder is it? Also curious about the new vetdungeons vs vWgt.

Bosses have between 3 million and 5 million HP. This means that many of the burn mechanics of old cannot be done anymore. This increases time significantly. Bosses and adds do a lot more damage, so if you are inexperienced expect a lot more deaths.

Timewise, for an average group, expect 3 hours. Yes, 3 hours. If you are a below-average group, aka if you think VWGT is difficult or have trouble with some of the other Vet dungeons, expect 5+ hours or you might not even be able to complete it. If you are very advanced, you can get this down to 1.5 hours or less, but everyone in the group has to know what they are doing.

    Edit:
Also, each boss has an enrage timer. You NEVER ran into this with CP140 mode because they died too quickly even in below average groups. But now, about half the bosses will enrage before you actually kill them. When they enrage, many of their attacks will 1-shot the DPS, and tanking becomes a lot harder.

Even when you have fast runs, it's still buggy: some in your favor some against. Sometimes your group wipes and you get to continue anyway (bank error in your favor) other times you wipe from mechanics that aren't supposed to be there (insta death from a suck in at 34%?).

Assuming things run perfect on the ZOS end, you will have to relearn some mechanics that you might have forgotten or maybe you have never known. For instance, did you know that you only get three torches for the second boss (making it really a dps test)? Did you know what and when things spawn in the basement of round 9? Do you remember how long there is between fire phases on the final boss round (round 10)? (It's not constant btw!) Yes, the challenge (and fun imo) of VDSA is back, but make sure you put on your game face. Make sure your group knows that you are not doing a loot farm. but you are making a possibly 5 hour commitment to get it done {you will get it done if you are geared appropriately, it's just a matter of time).

    Good luck and Godspeed.

It's hard for sure. Average players will struggle in the earlier rounds and probably hit a wall on the end boss. There are mechanics in play that make it difficult even for strong players until you know what's going on. If you're running a standard group of dps/dps/heal/tank, I'd recommend 25k+ single target dps from each of your damage dealers (higher is better). More dps allows you to either skip or minimize mechanics in many stages, especially the final round.

It's also not easy to pull weaker players through. Everyone has a role and everyone needs to bring their A game. There will be times when you split up and players that are squishy or are low dps will be a major hindrance for the group, forcing others to either constantly revive them or babysit them with heals. The more self sufficient you are, the easier the run will be.

Its as difficult as it used to be in 1.5-early 1.6.
    Harder than WGT for sure.

    Vma:
, try hard it1 week ( 3H per day ) and the 7th day i rested 7th day i finish him in 8 hours ( no break , but now you can with the last update ^^ )

So yes it's difficult , but when you finish him , you fell good ... it's extraordinary , so you have the difficulty ( Verry verry verry hard ) and the sentiment to be strong when you finish it for the first time :P ( of course you d'ont have this sentiment if you are a sorc with elegant set who spam overload on all mob who look like difficult , i'm a sorc and i know what i say .)
    Vma = 3X Vwgt . or 4

    New vet dungeon:

craddle of shadow : strat are beautiful ! the dungeon is beautiful ! but it's same than other dungeon --> open the door , kill mobs , kill boss , open the second door , kill mini boss , kill mobs , open the third door ect ... BUT the last boss strat is very good ( look like the last boss of Nmol ... ) for the difficulty now : VERY easy man ... = 1 Vwgt ... only the last boss is a little difficult ...

mazatun : same than craddle of shadow ... verry easy ... dungeons for PVP players with PVP set , thank zos , but these dungeon are bad and easy .

    About the new dungeons...

They're very well made, interesting narrative and environment, mechanics that pretty much require a dedicated tank, force the group apart (no stack and burn or skipping mechanics, damage shields on a couple of bosses to prevent that) I've enjoyed them very much the past couple of weeks.

Not gonna lie, I worry this is a trend. All of the content they have revived seems to use the same formula. Increase the health by 1000% on move on. The general consensus seems to be that VDSA is significantly longer, but not really much harder.

What's vma got to do with it? We're talking about DSA....

If you had a group pre update that did it with 4 dps in less than 55 mins how will we fare now?

Is there really a necessity for a healer and tank?

I would say yes. The reason you could go 4 DPS was that you could kill portals. In other words, 75% of the stuff was dead before it spawned. Other than huge health bars, this was the biggest change they made.

To be fair, this is probably the only way to revive the mechanics and make us do them.. until gears/cap involve and we're all doing 100k+ dps.. then they will increase hp again by 500% and so on.

It's harder than the new dungeons, and the mobs now hit a bit harder while the bosses have enough health so you can't bypass the mechanics any more.

However, with people getting used to the "new" mechanics and running with an organised experienced group you'd probably be able to get it done within 60 minutes with less than 5 deaths after a couple of weeks of practice. Even shorter if it's people already familiar with the old VR14 version.

You can pug it too, but be ready to give up after 4 hours and tattoo your lesson on your forehead.

I dont disagree, I just feel like some of the fights are a little boring now. I probably would have preferred it if they buffed their damage by a lot, and health by a little less. Some of this trash just takes forever.

Buffing damage would mean you are required to run a proper group. Therefore, total group damage would be starting at a much lower level. Then you dont need so much health to make it interesting.

Edit: sorry for double, meant to edit the first one.

I'm curious to this as well. I have a maxed out BS templar tank I've been looking forward to try this out with.

Any experience with the 2 new dungeons and VDSA with a blazing shield tank?

My brother is a templar tank with only 300cp and not much experience tanking and we've completed both of the dungeons with ease. :) Having good dps in your group is a must though.

Bosses are bags of HP, mobs hits a little harder and portal kills doesn't work anymore. Otherwise it's the same. Prepare to learn the mechanics and bring good DPS and you A game, otherwise you gonna have a bad time :)
