Group Finder Update

Can we get a link, or an official thread about the group finder tool. It is such an important tool that has never worked as intended yet. I would love to see an official thread talking about the hurdles and problems we are encountering and an update on where we are as far as how close we are to fixing it.

Only updates we have had are...and this includes the grouping bugs as well...

"we might fix it on monday"....and...."have you tried logging in and out again?"....

Most other companies would do an immediate hotfix? It's been known to happen in mmo's 10 years ago so why not ESO in 2016? I feel like im stating the obvious at this point but seems like I have to when it comes to ZOS?

I can understand if it was something "small" or something that affects a small number of players but this is a fundamental part of your game that affects every single player? With zero guarantee that the patch on monday will even solve the issue and in the past it normally goes on for months with ESO?

Not only can people not group because of grouping bugs but on top of that are in group finder que's totaling hours in wasted time so are literally unable to play your game? But it's ok we might possibly have this fixed on monday......and this is acceptable for ZOS?

just gonna go ahead and bump this...the group finder is still super hit and miss, haven't been able to find a group using it for the past 3 days, even when re-queueing every 5-15 mins.

Ridiculous.

Ridiculous.

So far I have been having good luck with it but I dont play a lot durning the week. 4 AM worked fine and noon it worked fine.

This is the issue precisely, it should never happen that it works for some people and not others, wtf? Literally 3 days without a pop (on EU).

For me it does seem better. I say better not fixed because i still hit some that dont go anywhere and those 5 man group. But ive actually had it find dungeons as well. Which is something that had not happened in a some time.

It is absolutely outrageous! the dungeon finder barely works in the morning and almost never in the evening. I begin to have doubts about the efficiency of ZoS. is a problem that has gone on for a long time: because they have not yet solved???

As of the last update its working better (PC NA). I still can't get grouped for specific dungeons, but putting in a random has be successful on several attempts with 5-10 waiting.

I do enjoy the fact that last week They posted basically said, we arent even sure it is broken. Now less then a week later they are ashamed they havent fixed it.

Come on PR team get your messangers together!

Like I mentioned in an older post of mine, ZOS was hoping that we would forget about it being broken if they just chose not to acknowledge a problem for long enough. They just recently decided that wouldn't work, so they realized they would have to actually come up with a fix for it.

Agreed.

Very important tool being ignored. Game could do alot better, and have alot more subscribers if you didn't have to turn into a prostitute and literally walk the town saying "tank lookin for vet daily" every 5 seconds between the 80 people in area chat saying "dude, 4k dmg is trash" or "your brother is gay"... all the while in real life your kids come downstairs to the den and stare at you like "dad, who are you shouting to?"

Some days it works... instant group as tank back to back for hours.
Other days it doesn't work at all... queued for hours and nothing.

there is no in between. Instant group or no group for hours.

On days where I can't find a group within 2 minutes with the group finder I just log off and don't log back on for 24 hours.

Ok so, groups aren't popping, even if you queue as tank, healer, dps, doesn't matter, the only way to make sure you get a group is to form it in zone and queue.

Oh and dont queue with 3 people, because sometimes you get 2. Yes, apparently 3+2=4 (full group), which means that whoever teleports into the dungeon last not only gets left out but the 15 minute cooldown to boot.

There's also the bug whereas you'll get placed in, and immediately kicked from a group with the notification it was disbanded (even if it wasn't, people you queued with are probably in fine). Oh, and you get the 15 minute cooldown.

Oh then theres the one that you queue, and even if 2 people you queue with go through to a group of 3, you get kicked, but can't requeue to join them and take the empty slot because you have the 15 minute cooldown.

Remember back when the LFG system was WORKING PERFECTLY before someone had the brilliant idea to put a cooldown on it to try to force people to push through with useless groups. Remember back in the day when you and 3 friends could queue, and re-queue until you got the gold pledge, back in the day when it worked, back in the day when it was usable to the point that people werent shouting in zone "LFM for Random Vet" instead they would just USE the random vet LFG....

All of this was caused because people complained about others leaving group when they saw low cp or poor makeup.

Devs, this is a huge issue. Once again, I'm already looking at other games. I left once and went to DCUO for 6 months and come back to this garbage.

Just fix the que already.

Neverwinter IA the next one I'm trying. Tired of being the prostitute in Wayrest.

Best bet is to take another leave of absence and wait until either the game plunges down even worse, or until Zeni figures out how their own game works and actually fixes some of the worst problems. (Unlikely to happen anytime soon, given their track record)
