why the heck would you want something to take too long? it doesnt reflect any skill its just shows how many hours you wasted.

It's not a waste of time if you enjoy the game. Maybe you should address why you don't enjoy PVP.

When I start being handed malestrom weapons we can talk about handing out PVP skills.

Honestly, they shouldn't have even put the monster equipment in a gold and AP vendor. That's one less thing to earn, given enough time. All this kind of talk does is dumb down the game and make it less enjoyable for the people who play the game to.. well.. play the game.

Don't beg, don't steal, just earn your keep.

I'm not a great PVPer, so I earned Caltrops on a stamina character in about 16 hours total.

I basically used my Templar Spear to fling people off of the edges of keeps XD

and then running into enemy zergs with random groups and spamming Steel Tornado.

Sometimes it's a bit slow, but once you get going, not too bad.

Getting Vigour takes no time, anyway. If it was the old Alliance Point-Ranks, then you MAYBE had a reason to complain. Now? Nope, no reason at all. It's a good way for you to explore te entire game, anyway.

Yeah it can be a pain when you don't know how to efficiently get AP.

As mainly a PvE player, here are the tips I can give you:
    - When you first enter Cyro, get inside a delve and kill a boss there. This will increase your AP gain for 1 hour.
    - Have on yourself at all time at least 2 stone trebuchets, 2 fire ballistas, 2 meatbag catapults and 2 flaming oil.
    - Defending is the easiest way to get AP. Look at the map and/or the zone chat and make a run for any fort of your faction that is under attack.
    - Siege weapons are your best friend when it comes to defending a fort. Deploy them as frequently as possible, especially when defending against large enemy groups.
    - Stay a few minutes after the fighting ends to get the defensive tick.
    - When nothing's happening, repair forts. Be sure you have the AP bonus from killing a delve boss if you do so.

I found that I made more AP playing solo that way than playing with big PUGs. However, if you want to go on the offense, it's better to join a group or, at least, follow a group. Also, it should be noted that the offensive tick is instantaneous (right when the fort flips) contrary to the defensive tick.

    Hope that helps.

That was actually pretty helpful thnx

I'm sorry the game is too hard for you, maybe you could find your own niche in another.

Oh, and VMA is nothing, if not chaotic, laggy, and expensive to run.

Vigor one of them most essential skills for stamina characters in both pve and pve and pvers like me are forced to pvp for days just to get it for every single stamina character I have, I just join a group and watch alliance points slowly coming up I keep failing miserably and btw I have still yet to get alliance level 5 with any of my characters.

At least it should have been the first or second skill om the line, but 60k alliance points for just from 4-5 is insane.

I cant even Vmsa without Vigor please change this im not a pvper and probably never will be dont force me to play something i dont like

60k AP is 2 hours of pvp for a *** group, an hour for a decent one. And before you complain remember that it used to take 8 million AP to get it, but carebears are dead set on play The Casual Scrolls Online.

exactly this! It used to be a lot longer but ZOS made it so everyone can get it quickly with minimal effort because of all the QQing by casuals and PvEers. Vigor is the only reason I started to PvP at all and now it is almost all I do. Give PvP a shot and you might just like it. I think it is great that they want people to experience all aspects of the game. Never know if you never try

People can say the same thing about PvE content with trials. Zero react time with enrages if people aren't working together, vMA is a joke with lag/bugs (numerous videos for that, GL HF), and let's not forget that it's just as expensive to also gear for PvE if you're crafting. Heck, sometimes just buying looted sets. And finding a reliable tank if you PUG? Sounds vaguely familiar to what PvEers say everything PvP does. I get that you don't like it, but I don't expect my Undaunted skill line and abilities to level themselves out either.

It's only 50 kills. GG son. Just spam snipe at zergs and you'll rake the ap in.

Plus I have done vma with just rally, my stam DK is rank 0. GG again.

Spend the AP on light defensive boxes and you may land a transmutation ring..you won't regret selling it in a guild store.

As for the argument going both ways, I can totally accept that. Personally, I would gladly agree to having every piece of endgame gear (that currently comes from PvE content) be made purchasable for AP, if in turn they gave me a way to get all the skills in the Assault and Support lines without having to do any PvP.

Get good and get the proper gear (impenetrable) and you will have plenty of time to react. Still getting 1 shot ganked? Slot radiant mage light, rip ganker. Lag and fps drops are not exclusive to pvp, hate to break it to you but this game tends to be a *** show.

The undaunted grind is still far worse. I have had to hear "Over there, its Mareel" more times than I would ever like to. At least PvP is dynamic, interesting and challenging.

Grinding the same boring dungeons for months, hearing the same ominous voiceovers just to get a % stat increase is much much worse that getting vigor.

It doesn't really take months now does it...plus when you hear it, say it out loud. ..it's Mereel. It makes it more fun. Undaunted passive isn't all that great anyway...it's old news. 5 VO + 5 RM seems to be the way to go. DW about Undaunted.

Go into Cyrodiil as a magicka-based healer with healing staff and don't group but follow the zerg around healing everyone, especially in defensive situations: you'll get it in a few hours. Then just respec to your stamina build after you have it.

Caltrops is the harder one to get because it seems to take longer to go from 5-6 than getting to 5.

Also do it at a low level in Blackwater Blade - always a lot of action there day or night.
