you either want to complete the achievements or not. "Yea I want to do it but not in one week", yea well, can't make everybody happy.

Thankfully ZOS doesn't think like that, or we could have a lot more of these. As a design philosophy, you either create inclusive content that anyone can get at their own pace, or you create exclusive content that you can get if you want it - and don't have naggy stuff such as real life get in your way.
I have nothing against the festival though, as long as they don't start including real life holidays in the game - this is just my opinion but it feels weird having Xmas, Easter, 4th of July and whatnot in Tamriel, not to mention that as a global game, most holidays will be culturally insensitive to many players.

"Culturally insensitive" how? Genuinely curious.

Would you celebrate Easter in-game at the same time as Catholic Easter, Orthodox Easter, or Jewish Passover? And what would it even mean for people who don't celebrate Easter? Same thing for Christmas. Maybe you could compensate with a Ramadan festivity? Halloween means very little outside Anglo-Saxon culture, though it's been sold around the world, as has Valentines Day to a lesser degree, but many people don't celebrate either.
In real life you celebrate the holidays that mean something to you and your community. In a game I would much rather we build a different community that includes everyone rather than catering to some but not others.

Didn't see you complaining when they put stuff on sale for Heart's Day, which is the 16th of Sun's Dawn... or, you know, an actual Catholic holiday, with a slightly different name...

I didn't even know that was a thing, but then I don't use the store...
In any case all I'm saying is I'd rather real life holidays weren't put in the game. That they have already doesn't change my opinion.

One of the reasons out of many I stopped playing Guild Wars 2 was because of temporary time limited achievements linked to festivals and holiday events which some meant you either played 24/7 for that week or wait for a year to complete the achievements, this got so common every month seemed like you have to log in to play for 7 days straight or don't have time to get them all....
Will this event and achievements be made available only for a short time and only once a year?
Is this a new theme for ESO coming in future "events" copying Guild Wars 2 and their gem store.....
I really hope not because GW2 became so focused on temp quick events for excuses to sell fluff in their cash shop, that is all they focused on 90% of content around, temporary achievement grinding with time limited for excuses to sell more fluff.....
I really hope this is not where ZOS are heading with ESO? This would pretty much confirm what arena net did with gw2 is happening to ESO as well, only interested in fast quick turnover of cash and players and not bothered about keeping a long term player base or content...or fixing bugs or polishing existing lacking design systems.
Lore-friendly Holiday events are perfectly fine.
Time-limited achievements tend to really drive completionists crazy.
I had a lot of fun (and a lot of late nights) during the Jubilee Cake event. Looking forward to Witches Festival and the new Hollowjack motif. Honestly though, I probably won't complete all of the achievements. I'll just focus on having a good time and any motif pages collected will be a bonus. Maybe we'll be able to trade or buy the pages we miss?
